We're gonna check this out, weather permitting. I've never seen Crenshaw, but my Mom did (he opened for Willie).
We'll probably take the Light Rail down. I can show Lily the Inter-City Elevator (you get on in Jersey City and get off in 'boken).
Not familiar with anyone else on the bill, but I think Joe Grushecky used to play Mexicali in Teaneck.
Speaking of which, has anyone been there since it became . . . Debonair Music Hall (I think. I doubt my brain invented such an awful venue name.)?
I miss Crenshaw's radio show on 'FUV.

I would be there if I wasn't
I would be there if I wasn't at the Sea.Hear.Now festival in Asbury Park Sat and Sunday. Huge Smithereens fan and from what I heard, although Pat DiNizio really can't be replaced, that Crenshaw does a fine job with the material I have only heard good things about this line up.
Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers is a solid band out of Pittsburgh that plays straight on rock and roll music. Tight band that has been together for a long time. Joe is friends with Bruce Springsteen and they have written and recorded a few songs together, as well as backing Springsteen on his "unannounced" 3 hour sit surprise sets at the yearly Light of Day Festival in Asbury Park.
