Trip to the Video Store

Forums:

Went to the video store yesterday to pick up a couple of old Christopher Lee horror films.   Its been years since I have frequented such an establishment and they are few and far between these days.   This place is a storied video store called "Movie Madness" and boasts over 80,000 titles in stock.   They also have beers on tap and display cases full of costumes and props from old movies.  However, I didn't have time to enjoy the beer or displays because it took so long to find the movies I wanted.   The place is over-organized to a fault by some serious movie geeks who have it arranged by sub-sub-genre and directors.  It was madness and had to have someone help me find what I wanted.

I also didn't get a chance to check out their concert video library, but will have to do that next time I am in.

Do you all still have video stores in your neck of the woods?

There is one that I know of in my section of NYC, never been as I either stream or do the netflix thing. I understand they have a great selection (not 80,000) What will they do with all those titles if they ever go out of business?

There's only one video store in my area of Eugene. It's a small independent and been around for many years.

I don't think so, but we do have a drive-in movie theater(in the summer).

Videodrome in atlanta just celebrated it's 20th anniversary the other night.

we started going there just after they converted their entire inventory from vhs to dvd.

we rented soooo many Beat Takeshi movies from them.
