When I was in Amsterdam about 20 years ago, this fellow had all these Purple ganja plants, plus the green ones, and shades between. He was a friend of a friend; anyway, he had all this Purple hash. He wanted to sell us a tenth/kilo for a great price.
I was trying to explain that we were only in North Europe for a few more days and had to fly back to USA, go through Customs, all that.
"Oh well I have 50 Gram chunks, take those home !!"
We opted not to be international Hash smugglers, but that guy was already famous and wrote a Book about weed & such.
'Big Korean Skunk' dude. Nice fellow. I'm sure the Purple hash would have been quite the novelty in the States.
The reddish brownish remains on the stem lead me to cortinarius genera, perhaps cort cylindripes. Take a spore print; Lepista nuda is pinkish, corts are brownish.
Stu, did you meet some of the Kasvot Vaxt folks while in Amsterdam?
Pakistani Chitral Kush (PCK). Knock you down, roll you around, & have its way with you. More black than purple. Afgani cross so pure indica. Currently my favorite. Get you high, taste good, mellow smoke, put you to sleep unless you are mobile - then fucked up.
My friend who lived up outside Willits (she's in the E Bay now) but always came down to the city to play music trimmed some great outdoor purple stuff last season, but it was not the best weed she had. IMO. It was fine stuff though. It was very dark and purple and tasted real good but damn it made you cough more than most dank weed did. Dunno why.

Your purple shroom looks like 'Woods Blewitt' I forget the Latin name. Haven't seen them back east, but picked a few in OR under conifers.
Edible and delicious.

Wonder if a grower can chime in here. Is it an urban myth that frost can aid in purplish hues.
