Sweet! I'm gonna have to
Sweet! I'm gonna have to purchase this set. I was at all 5 of those shows. My favorite would be a toss up between 7/9 & 7/10/89. My friends opted for the field on 7/10 during that intense rain storm. I opted for the (relatively) dry area in the lower tier, which provided some nice cover.
I take it we won't be seeing any of the Dylan & the Dead footage from the '87 show, which is a shame, because while Dylan's voice was awful, the Dead were just cooking behind him. I don't know if "official" video footage even exists of those sets.

I was at all of these,
I was at all of these, including Labor Day weekend 1978 with NRPS and Willie Nelson. Why no 1978 in this box set? Maybe they don't have quality masters of the show but it was fairly solid, right before they took off for Egypt. IMHO, I would rank them 78, then 87, then 89 and way at the bottom 91. The 1978 show seems to get lost in the mix when you talk about Giants Stadium shows. Sure, it paled compared to Englishtown the Labor Day prior but it has the softest spot in my Meadowlands heart!

That is the beauty of Dead
That is the beauty of Dead shows, one man,s Meh-ness, is another B quality show. 78 wasn't killer quality (NRPS were on that day) but I'll take 78 Dead of 91 Dead any day!

Also was at all these....and
Also was at all these....and went to movie last pm and saw Dave L. Intro these....pretty cool set it looks like fo sure....it was fun to watch a whole show where Mickey was still actually whaling on the kit...he was a monster , as was Phil....good show, good movie, great times...
The sound last night...the "mix" etc., (which was hyped alot before this years Dead at the Movies) was really, really good....it was loud, clear, and just seemed like a perfect mix of the bass, drums, and both keys, w jerry and bobby. (Ya , he was still bobby back then...;))

At Giants, I always enjoyed
At Giants, I always enjoyed the local Guido contingent who would scream JERRY at the top of their lungs during 2nd set ballads.
