Soil indoors is messy. Hydro is clean -- if you keep up with it. Look into deep water culture buckets for a very easy and cheap way to get into hydro growing. HALF STRENGTH fert to start is always recommended.
I do indoor soil. It's not messy unless you're messy. Tarps are your friend.
I would like to try an indoor setup sometime, but there seems to be a learning curve. I just started indoor three batches ago so I'm sticking with what I know and works for me. I get the feeling indoor requires lots of timer-dependent elements, and one power cut could leave you in a bad situation if you don't check in regularly. Maybe not. From people who grow hydro I've heard that once you've got it down it couldn't be easier, I just don't have time to take that learning trip right now.

You can get plenty of THC
You can get plenty of THC either way. Never done hydro - I prefer the more natural way. If you grow indoors hydro would prob. be easier.

I've switched to Coco Coir,
I've switched to Coco Coir, (Coco Loco) from Fox Farms. I'm using Down Home Organic Nutrients with de chlorinated water.
Down Home: Bio Live, All Purpose 2:1 Veg, Then All Purpose and Bio Live 2:1 Flower with Bat Guanno
Its a trend that works for a lot of folks, check out Mr. Canucks Grow on the You Tube.
The results are great, better root growth and veg for sure. Its a hybrid between soil & hydro of sorts. No mineral based nutrients what so ever.
