Happy Friday everyone. Coyotte, I'm trying to work out making the benefit for your friend on the 28th. I'm only a quick shot west on 195 from Belmar, so hopefully I'll be able to make it.
It feels pretty cold in the Bay Area, which is, in fact, not REALLY that cold compared to most of the rest of the Northern Hemisphere right now.
Daughter Ruby is going to yet another slumber party tonight, so parents and teenager are looking forward to some age-appropriate movies at home tonight.
JLP, that is crazy, they are growing up so fast (( Happy Birthday H )).
I am SO glad it is Friday, been a Hell of a week here, Mom fell yesterday...right out of the shower onto floor !! Blood everywhere, it was scary ! I was surprised at how calm I stayed and kept her still until the medics arrived, so I guess I am the one to be doing this. We were in ER for 10 hrs and to top it off in the hallway at that, there were folks lined up all on the hall in stretchers and all rooms full. I witnessed 5 codes in that time, 2 strokes ( one was a lady 2 stretchers down ) a drug kid ( 18 or 19) all stung out on heroin get up walked by and pulled his IV just as he was passing by...just lovely I tell ya ;). They chased after him about 3 times before restraining him, he had escaped from Merryville ( a local rehab here in Jersey) ...hope he stayed and got help <3.
MoM will be OK except that she is on a blood thinner and now needs to be watched as you can have a brain bleed up to 5 days post head trauma, and she is very sore today ! We got lucky on this one, fer sure. It is getting more apparant that she will need to go into a facility before years end...just trying to keep her here as long as possible.
So, yes...glad to say good riddance to the first week of 2017...hope it gets better from here !
