you’re blatantly ignoring facts. just like msnbc and cnn want you to do. do you subscribe to the washing post? lol i mean
come on man. my point is start paying the fuck attention.
only the main stream media doesn’t want you to see or understand the power of bernie’s populism — he’s the one that defends the average american. it’s so obvious. he has the most progressive, and POPULAR plans for criminal justice reform, climate change, student debt, etc.
he gets the independents and true republican vote, and yes, many of those people voted for trump. biden gets none of that. zero. you really think biden is the best choice? they’re literally keep him out of the public eye b/c he’s so incapable and incompetent. and if the dnc does what they did last time, and push through neoliberal - trump ain’t going anywhere.
does he get trumps base? no. nobody does. lol. you have to support white nationalism to get their vote.
2020 is his best chance. this is obvious. the campaign is run much better than in 2016. and his momentum and popularity speak for themselves....
too old? what’s that even mean?
more vigorous? have you been paying attention? a libertarian like yang offers nothing. dude shouldn’t have even be on the stage tbh. tulsi should have been up there. they did her dirty, like they did gravel. they can’t ban bernie from the stage, as much as they wish they could — but they got their way w/ gravel and tulsi, two people who would have gone after the corporate socialism we currently live in on the national stage. but you get yang and klobachur, and steyer lol.
Dude, I've been paying attention to politics since 1960 - what were you doing then? No, I don't subscribe to Wapo or watch CNN. No, I don't support Biden, unless he wins the primary. I will vote for him if he does, but he can't win the general. I will vote for Bernie if he wins the primary, but he can't win in Nov.,either, IMO. I will prob. vote Warren in the primary.
if you were really paying attention you’d see that bernie is the only candidate running to truly help the american people.
this is about way more than just beating trump. the corporate eite, the main stream media want you to think that, so they can push through a do nothing, elitist candidate. they don’t want drastic cultural change.
and your talking points mimic theirs, so start paying attention, son.
I like Bernie and he is still my favorite of the bunch, but being an independent, I can't vote in the primaries. Also, a word of caution about those stats above. They are polls of all registered voters nationwide and don't reflect the electoral college dynamic. You can have every man, woman, and child in California tell a pollster that they would vote for the Democrat over Trump, but ultimately California will deliver the same number of electors regardless of whether the candidate who takes the state wins by one vote or a crushing landslide. A more meaningful poll would look at voter preferences in the handful of battleground states where the election will be decided.
Got it, 'heater. I know Bernie was here....so was Kamala and Liz. Yes, Bernie is polling strong but Bernie's gang is stronger earlier. Most Dems aren't engaged yet. I know my state and don't see Bernie coming out on top next spring. We will see....
"Russia attacked the 2016 election and the FBI and DNI have said they're still at it. But the moderators of last night's debate failed to ask a single question about Russia (though they found time to ask Booker if he promotes veganism). Ridiculous." ~ @mikercarpenter on twitter
^ hand in hand with no questions about impeachment
In regard to Russia and election interference: how is this not JUST AS BAD as Trump completely ignoring the issue?!?
Pyramid getting all uptight and holier-than-though with his political beliefs. We're trying to engage in discourse with you and you resort to personal jabs and insults... all in a condescending manner. You're acting like god's political commentary gift to the Zone. We're all entitled to our opinions and just because an opinion differs from yours doesn't mean we're dumb or not paying attention.
I shared my opinion that Bernie is too old and you ask what does that even mean? It means I think he's old AF and some voters are turned off to investing their votes in someone who would be approaching 80 years old on inauguration day. There are obvious concerns at putting our future on someone who would be past the life expectancy rate when taking office. I don't think that's a particularly hot take so calm down with your condescending shtick. Without knowing you personally, you seem to represent part of what's wrong with our discourse today- lack of nuance and lack of respect for those with differing opinions.
The mainstream media, all of it, is owned by the corps that Bernie is after. No way they want him to run. The DNC is run by the same influences. They are owned by big pharma, big oil and other evil empires. No way do they want Bernie.
bernie’s been putting in work, more than any other candidate. if you can’t see what he’s doing for the country, that’s your loss. if not for bernie, biden and the corporate dems agenda would be surging. over the last 4 years he’s put a spotlight on why those politicians don’t work for us. you should thank him.
lol at his time better spent in Vt.
while the centrists now abandon their dream of biden becoming president and are forced to start cozying up to a somewhat progressive warren (who is willing to take corporate money in the general) —bernie is continuing speaking truth to power, talking to as many voters as possible, running the strongest and most popular campaign in modern history — this is why he’ll win michigan, penn., wisconsin, iowa, nh, ca, etc
he’s getting midwest conservatives and independents to vote for a progressive. i know, you don’t believe it. that’s fine.
this is why he’s leading the pack.
organizer in chief.
and who cares about his age? that’s just a lame ass excuse fed to you by fear of change.
nate silver hates bernie, i’m sure you know that thod.
bernie is the most popular politician in the country. he has the most diverse base out of any candidate.
bernie and warren have done the best in every debate so far, and bernie crushed it the other night, even tho they attempted to silence him as much as possible.. bernie’s platform drives the discussion - medicare for all is what the majority of people want.
i think bernie/warren is the appropriate team. warren gets the presidency after bernie.
Pyramid, does Sanders have a plan to address job loss resulting from Medicare for all?
Stanford researchers estimate that 5,000 community hospitals would lose more than $151 billion under a Medicare for All plan; that would translate into the loss of 860,000 to 1.5 million jobs. A Navigant study found that a typical midsize, nonprofit hospital system would have a net revenue loss of 22%.
Pyramid, i asked a legitimate question. I've stayed out of this discussion until now. I really have not been following the Democratic race. I figured you're the guy to ask about Sanders ' policies.
corporate dems have been putting their greed over providing millions w/ healthcare for far too long. right? you have to agree w/ that.
it’s hilarious you two are asking this question. that’s what you take from m4a? straight up msm talking points. next your will be saying bernie’s m4a plan will take away healthcare from 150 million people. lol.
thod, do you ask yourself this question since you support warren?
my understanding is it’ll be similar to his plan/transition for the fossil fuel industry workers, have you read about that?
so assistance w/ salary, housing, healthcare, priority job training/placement, etc.
Damn, pyramid, i politely ask you a question, because I figured you'd know the answer, and you respond like a jackass. The hardest part about supporting Sanders is to not hold his sanctimonious base against him.
You're talking about disrupting an industry that accounts for about 18% of the economy, so I'm not sure why you are so defensive.
no. we’re talking about providing all of america w/ healthcare.
youre the one that sounds like an asshole.
sanctimonious? hardest part? haha jesus christ.
get your head outta your ass man and grow the fuck up. bernie’s campaign is all about fighting for the average american. i’m no better than anybody just b/c i support the only human running for president.
you support the healthcare industry and pharma’s continuation of gross profits over care, the compete demoralization of americans, sending families into bankruptcy b/c they got sick?
good to know.
how do you two feel about dismantling the fossil fuel industry? i take it you’re both pro fracking?
Hey, asshole, i have no issue with single payer health care, I am curious how the candidates intend to deal with the economic consequences which will arise during this transition. I figured you would know the answer.
The progressive group, whose electoral influence has grown since it backed Bernie Sanders four years ago, is now supporting Ms. Warren for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Has anyone asked will congress be enrolled in the same Medicare for all plan as the rest of us ? And no one has mentioned that there is no way making private health care illegal will ever hold up to judicial scrutiny if it passed.
Yes the DNC would rather have trump than Sanders or Warren just like they wanted Bush over Gore. So don’t get your hopes up. The best we can hope for is that the powers that be realize Biden is not up to running never mind being president and come up with a better centrist candidate. As of now this looks like an easy win for Trump.
They want to take your job , your guns, your healthcare, and your religion... slam dunk it’s over
i don't watch Fox news or any TV for that matter- been out of the Television game for a long time. My opinion of Tulsi has nothing to do with what Fox says.
>>>>>why would a Republican, alone Fox News pundits, come to the aid of a Democrat?
Fox News is first and foremost entertainment. Tulsi is entertaining. And if they have an opportunity to entertain while bashing the Democrats, they will jump all over that.
Turtle the point is...P-heat scoffs at anybody critical of Bernie, never with any facts or links,
just, “I LIKE BEER!”
Dig?
Ken are you stating that Tulsi’s a “useful idiot” for appearing on Fox News? because most Dems already know how things work there and won’t go on there for the very same reasons you stated.
right, turtle. so much fear mongering from the corporate dems like oclt and thod. bernie has the establishment shook b/c it’s likely he’ll get the nomination. look, he’s reaching out to all voters b/c that’s how he has to beat the dnc.
also, why you so mad oclt?
and thod, you’re just lying to yourself man. bernie has released comprehensive reform plans for m4a, media/journalism, new green deal, taxes, criminal justice, college for all, etc.
these are all well documented.
youre wrong, thod.
i scoff at : bernie has no plan, bernie is done, bernie isn’t as popular as in 2016, bernie has no shot of getting midwest votes, and of course bernie is too old lol.
well you both must know bernie has a plan, like your girl warren, for healthcare and fossil fuel industry.
he’s going to dismantle the fossil fuel industry, and the for profit healthcare system as we know it.
warren is not for either of those plans (or is she? i know she now wants to ban fracking after bernie reiterated his position a couple weeks ago) — although she’s supported bernie’s m4a plan before, it does seem like she’s backing away for it during this presidential run. shame.
enough compromising for corporate benefit. i think people are sick of it, and it’s why you see bernie becoming the most popular and most likely to get the nom. warren is def running a good campaign as well, no doubt.
P-heat, if Bernie’s the ONLY progressive in the race than why is this going on?
>> The progressive group, whose electoral influence has grown since it backed Bernie Sanders four years ago, is now supporting Ms. Warren for the Democratic presidential nomination. <<<
warren was only for fed land fracking ban, no? then after bernie said fucking ban it all she said the same. i’m wrong?
and yeah, the wfp has been aligning itself w/ establishment and someone like warren, who speaks of progressive ideas, yet also is willing to please big donors and accept their money, as well as establishment dems to obtain power.
how can they not support the only candidate that wants to eliminate student loan and medical debt?
and don’t take my word for it — you can easily find everything bernie stands for, straight from his mouth. i’m just wondering how you could possibly think he has no plans. that’s insane man.
Turtle nothing has been done that’s exactly why Biden should not run on race and or depend on the minority vote..
Joe Six pack pick up truck doesn’t have to wait on line to vote.. And they know how to keep liberals from voting ie long lines , clearing voter rolls propaganda etc
Elizabeth warren is the only candidate on the stage with both the political momentum and the consistent intellectual fortitude to deliver continuous death blows to Donald trump on any topic. No handicap, no over-under, no question.
no, she’s not a progressive. She’s trying. She’s Bernie-lite.
The important thing is that every progressive idea being discussed across the whole primary spectrum basically originated with Bernie. That should be recognized, and that’s his legacy here.
and that’s the nuts and bolts of what matters, from my vantage point.
but I would still like a public insurance option, and think most of America agrees with me. Medicare for all is unnecessary and a step backwards.
Sure, lots of people support it when the only other choice is the status quo. Just ask them.
its a false equivocation, and loosely spouting percentages of minuscule subset cross-section polling purporting to represent the overall opinion of 300 million Americans is irresponsible at best.
I will chime in with my experience. I was a Bernie supporter in 2016 voted for Hillary.
I am a union teacher in NY with a good state health plan. I believe healthcare should be available for all. I don’t believe the government has the right to tell you if you want to pay a doctor for private healthcare you can’t . I believe in freedom of choice and capitalism. No way in hell I ever vote for someone who is going to take my healthcare and raise my taxes sorry. As much as I disagree with trump he becomes the hero saving our capitalist system in this scenario
"[Trump] is one of the least qualified candidates ever to make a serious run for the presidency, If he is nominated by a major party — let alone elected — the reputation of the United States would suffer a devastating blow around the world."
Cokie and Steven Roberts in a co-authored February 2016 op-ed.
The U.S. reputation has suffered in this presidency. The conceding of their party leadership to Trump's miserable example is disgraceful. It will be interesting to see where they stand as a party once they are though with him. It used to be that the Democrats were the kooky wingnut party. Things have changed.
Elizabeth Warren leads Register’s Iowa Poll for the first time, besting Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders
Elizabeth Warren has surged in Iowa, narrowly overtaking Joe Biden and distancing herself from fellow progressive Bernie Sanders, the latest Des Moines Register/CNN/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows.
the fact that he called bernie’s non white remaining base residue? the dude hates bernie and is just trash. he’s being called out all over the internet for it, which i am sure you already knew since you follow his tweets.
Your lack of reading comprehension and/or lack of understanding of the meaning of words in the English language does not make Nate Silver's tweet racist.
>>> if you were really paying attention you’d see that bernie is the only candidate running to truly help the american people.
this is about way more than just beating trump <<<
Bernie Sanders begins Iowa tour to court Trump voters
Bernie Sanders hopes to convince working-class voters who were drawn to Donald Trump in 2016 that they will find a lot to like with his brand of economic populism.
Sanders plans to take this strategy for a trial run on Monday with a “Bernie Beats Trump Tour” of four Iowa counties that went for President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 and to Trump in 2016.
of course you don’t see an issue w/ silver’s tweet, weird steve. lol. but keep referencing pundit nate silver, he needs people like you to stay relevant.
and thod, bernie has the most diverse base — in 2016 it was his base is too white, now y’all are criticizing bernie for having the most diverse base, least white, and most working class. over 1 millions individual donations, besting his record pace from 2016, when he beat obama’s former record time.
were talking general election. warren’s base is over 70% white, doesn’t have the youth vote = not a good recipe for beating trump.
bernie appealing to trump voters in the midwest/iowa is a wining campaign — you’re saying that’s a sign of trouble? haha wtf
the bias is real. we’re seeing it again, right in front of us. the msm hates bernie sanders, and they are afraid as he has a real shot this time.
organizer in chief.
bernie tied for first is CA, first in NV, 2nd in SC, first in NH. crushing it. february is going to be awesome.
Warren takes Democratic presidential nomination lead in California, new poll finds
Sen. Elizabeth Warren has jumped to a significant lead in the Democratic presidential race in California, solidifying her position as a front-runner for the party’s nomination, according to the latest UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll, conducted for the Los Angeles Times.
Plenty of former Bernie supporters have put their support behind Warren. Not the Berniebros though. 12 Percent actually voted for Trump in 2016, and they’re doubling down again. So no, not all Bernie supporters..
>> centrists. corporate dems. msm...they hate bernie more than trump. <<
LOL...no, that's very wrong.
Centrists. corporate dems. msm want to beat tRump whatever it takes. If Bernie is the answer, so be it. If it's Warren or Joe or this bag of rocks, so be it.
September 25, 2019 - Warren Continues To Climb While Biden Slips Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Democratic Primary Is Neck And Neck
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is essentially tied with former Vice President Joe Biden in today's Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea-ack) University national poll. Warren gets 27 percent of the vote while Biden gets 25 percent of Democratic voters and independent voters who lean Democratic. Though well within the margin of error, this is the first time that a candidate other than Biden has had the numerical lead in the primary since Quinnipiac began asking the question in March.
The top two candidates are followed by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders with 16 percent, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 7 percent, and California Senator Kamala Harris at 3 percent. While this is Harris' lowest number yet, support for these candidates as well as the rest of the field...
<<>>Centrists. corporate dems. msm want to beat tRump whatever it takes. If Bernie is the answer, so be it. If it's Warren or Joe or this bag of rocks, so be it.
absurd. they’re trying their best to push through biden and now warren since biden is proving completely incompetent and warren has signaled she’s open to being bought in the general (already has tho). you just refuse to see it i guess? the msm bias against bernie is real. and he’s still doing great.
which is odd b/c bernie has the best #’s against trump atm. and again, this election is about more than beating trump and replacing him w/ another establishment/corporate politician that’ll bend over backwards to please their corporate masters — a centrist won’t cut it and loses to trump again. we lived this in 2016.
bernie first proposed his wealth tax years ago; warren debuted her plan this year, yet the msm has been pushing the story that bernie has pretty much hijacked warren’s idea and release his own slightly more aggressive version. i mean this is the shit wapo prints and people believe.
Tulsi Gabbard, Last 2020 Holdout, Supports Impeachment Inquiry
Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii endorsed the impeachment inquiry against President Trump on Friday, dropping longstanding opposition that she had affirmed as recently as two days ago.
warren will take dark money in the general, she’s said so. she’s def made promises already, benefiting the corporate rule we have now, if she were to make it to the general.
the fake populist smashes former lifelong republican in the general. imo.
warren is a centrist wearing a progressive cloak. she’s in this for her, not us.
Sure thing, Bro. So if Warren wins the primary and beats out Bernie, you cool with voting for her in the General. With or without Bernie as Veep? or would you rather Trump win again? Just a simple yes or no.
In 2000, America got raped because useful idiots voted for Nader.
Since 2016, well, shit, if you have been paying attention, America has been gang raped, because useful idiots loadly and proudly voted for fucking Jill Stein.
In 2020, the exact same useful idiots will do the exact same fucking thing.
of course i’ll vote for warren in the general if she were to make it, you fucking monsters lol.
nancy, you little neolib, will you vote for bernie in the primary? btw his base is more female than male.
or will you continue holding back our country? the most popular politician in the country, most popular w/ women, young women, women of color, most diverse base, represents the working family. how can you not support that? he’s literally fighting to provide good healthcare for the country.
crickets.....
over 1 million individual donations.
all you have is he’s old, has no plan, will you vote _____ if bernie doesn’t get to the general.
lots of corporate dem defending, and msm talking points you all have for your anti bernie bs.
you think warren wins michigan, pa, wisconsin against trump? come on.
btw AOC was in burlington w/ bernie today...
also weird steve, sorry man, but you’re a stupid fuck if you think bernie was a useful idiot in 2016. whether you like his policies or not, that’s some dumb ass trumper shit right there.
“It sounds great, but I think we’ve had promises before that haven’t been kept,” said Fred Albert, president of the American Federation of Teachers for West Virginia. “We want to hear the how, how are you going to do it. I think that codifies the promise … teachers are paying attention.”
Sundeen said that, for now, she’s rooting for Elizabeth Warren (Mass.). Warren has not proposed pay increases for educators, which Sundeen views as a “good sign.”
To her credit, Warren’s talking points this campaign season have been good so far. She has spoken about the need to raise teacher salaries, reinvest in early and K-12 childhood education, and cut student debt. And in the last national debate, Warren highlighted her one-year stint as a teacher, vowed to appoint a public school educator to the position of secretary of education, and declared that “money for public schools should stay in public schools, not go anywhere else.”
What part of Warren's message do you like more? They're very similar. Bernie is my first choice because he's worked hard to earn my support. I'd definitely support Warren if she is the DNC nominee, I wouldn't even feel the need to hold my nose. Biden is the one I'd rather not have to vote for,
if you accept money from the corporations that control and dictate our democracy in the general and/or primary (which warren has done), you are not a progressive. there’s one progressive running who has a legitimate shot at the presidency.
so your voting in the primary to hold us back. got it. #2016.
I think Bernie should have - in 2016 - and should now, avoid attacking the party that he wants to lead, and the other candidates of the party he wants to lead, particularly at a time where he had already lost.
But that's me.
That said, if he's the nominee, he gets my enthusiastic support.
How about answering the question whether you would support Biden if he is the nominee?
From the 24th (ABOVE) : "Q: if Biden is the nominee, will you vote for him?"
“If you don’t vote for Bernie, you’re Voting to hold the county back.”
What an ignorant point of view.
If Bernie won, the Right would paint him as the next Stalin. The low IQ voters would buy that shit, the House would flip back to R at the midterms, and the Senate would stay R. So much for the progressive agenda.
I see absolutely no problem voting progressive in local and state elections, and left center for POTUS. You want a livable minimum wage? Once 20+ states have it on the books, it will become a federal law. Meanwhile, a POTUS that can get shit done with a coalition would be key.
Trump is the revolutionary response to Obama. We don’t need someone who will be perceived as a revolutionary response to Trump. It’s a shitshow.
lol, surf you’re becoming a troll in your old age.
<<<>>>If Bernie won, the Right would paint him as the next Stalin. The low IQ voters would buy that shit, the House would flip back to R at the midterms, and the Senate would stay R. So much for the progressive agenda.
what an ignorant point of view.
i guess we agree on it def being a shit show.
try and think back to 2016, folks.
trump beat your corporate wet dream to become president. sad.
lets not repeat that earth shattering mistake.
imagine trump running against warren, a lifelong republican, somebody who claims she was native american, and has since apologized for that (just for the idiots who think i’d hold that against her if she were to make it to the general, you are wrong — purely about policy). speaks of grassroots movement paid for by the people, yet she takes dark money...that’s fuel for trump. she has much baggage.
the video of her claiming she’s native b/c all native americans have high cheek bones. dumbass shit.
bernie appeals to independents, which the majority of americans are, no?
bernie wins battle ground states such as PA, MI, WI — i don’t see warren carrying those states — her base is 71% white — where’s the criticism of her not having the minority vote?
people like surf don’t understand we’re not just trying to get trump out, we’re trying to topple the oligarchy.
Well, you sure as hell ain’t picking up supporters when you talk about toppling the oligarchy. 75% of the voters have no idea what an oligarchy is.
The American voters are generally not very savvy. Only 33% have college degrees, and the majority couldn’t tell you what the three branches of government are, let alone what their roles are. As a result they are fickle.
For anyone to beat Trump they’ll have to mobilize voters to get off their asses and vote. I’m not sure if anyone can do that right now. Just because someone in a poll says they support someone, it doesn’t mean that they’ll even vote.
>>>>bernie raised over 25mil in Q3. once again more than any other candidate.
I saw that and it is impressive. However, from what I read this morning, most of the candidates have not yet released their 3rd quarter donations and won't do so until the middle of the month when the mandatory reporting kicks in. I respect Bernie for not taking money from big corporations, but Biden doesn't play by those rules and I wouldn't be surprised if he raises more (and Warren too). That being said, 2016 showed that raising more money doesn't necessarily equate to getting votes when and where they are needed.
Wow. I mean, I know that 6's article doesn't necessarily represent all voters of the Wall Street bent, but I can't help but it find it unsettling and ironic. For the last 2 and half years Dems have been bitching about Bernie bros not coming out to vote for Hillary and have spent a great deal of effort (on the Zone and everywhere else) to make sure those voters WOULD vote for Biden or whoever if they get the nomination.
Now the corporatist Dems are saying they'll vote for Trump over Warren? Damn. Seems pretty clear where those peoples' interests lie and it sure as fuck ain't in promoting social values, national solidarity or at the very least, supporting your party...
The Sanders campaign appears to have started canceling a $1.3 million ad buy slated to start Thursday in the first-in-the-nation nominating state of Iowa, according to NBC News. It only announced the television ad on Tuesday.
A Sanders campaign spokeswoman told CNBC the move is a “postponement.” It was unclear if the ad changes were related to Sanders’ health.
a few posts up, thod, you implied bernie’s campaign isn’t doing well b/c he pulled his iowa tv ad, why?
so two viva centrists, thod and nedb, have told me i sound like trump. awesome. this is what bernie is going up against, msm talking points that fools like the two i mentioned believe, likening bernie supporters to trump. that’s some sad shit, thod.
thod why do you support warren, somebody who takes corporate money, like all corporate dems, yet wears her progressive cloak like she’s bernie?
Pyramid, you sound like a loudmouth, blathering idiot with absolutely no substance and no comprehension of reality. So yeah, you sound just like Trump.
Bernie and Trump are drastically different policy wise, obviously. The two are very similar in their approaches to play on the current popularity of populism though.
<<<>>>Are you on the anti-trump team, or not? Or is it a Bernie nomination, or else you're voting for tRump (or not voting at all)?
thats all you guys ask. who will you vote for in the general. jesus. i supported kerry, obama twice, etc etc locally. i’m as anti trump as they come.
i should be asking you if you’re anti trump based off of what you have said. this election is about crushing trump but as well as restoring power back to the people — not back to establishment dems like we tried in 2016.
so, why are you not supporting sanders in the primary? we need your support in the primary, so we can have a dem nominee who crushes trump. somebody who gets independent votes. conservative votes. remember when bernie went on the fox news townhall and spoke to all those fucking conservative voters — the msm was trashing him for doing so — he’s willing to reach out and explain how trump has con’d the average american into thinking he has their best interest at hand. all those people were asked, and are in favor of M4A.
and equally as important, we need to elect somebody who isnt representing the elite and powerful corporate dominance we’ve seen these past 5+ decades.
to answer ned, lol — of course i’m anti trump. i support the most progressive candidate that actually has a shot at winning this thing.
thod i called you a pussy for your troll-y feel better bernie thread, for saying you’ll vote for him if he’s the dem nominee — like that’s some badge of honor or something? try the primary. and only after you came at me. take a look?
and ned b/c he said i make him dislike bernie. take a look? that’s just crazy talk.
talking of trump, y’all are twisting shit just like him. good little centrists.
Ptrump, do you pay all your employees livable wages, from the servers to the dishwashers? What benefits package do you offer? Do you offer health, or do they have to get it from the exchange?
"...and someone like warren, who speaks of progressive ideas, yet also is willing to please big donors and accept their money, as well as establishment dems to obtain power."
"bernie is our only chance. it’s painfully obvious. i personally think trump crushes a warren presidential ticket."
"warren has the rich white vote. remember 53% of white woamn votes for trump in 2016."
"thod why do you support warren, somebody who takes corporate money, like all corporate dems, yet wears her progressive cloak like she’s bernie?"
weirdsteve — i guess we have different definitions of hating. you’re def a sensitive one.
^and yes, that’s why we have to nominate and vote in a real progressive candidate, to crush trump and to influence from the top. corporate establishment dems have had their chance, we know where they stand.
pyramid, you and I, and all anti-trumpers, need to stop attacking each other and get down to business: elect democrats, ANY democrats, instead of the GOP anti-democracy fascist fucks.
OK?
So I'd love to see you promote Bernie without denigrating other democracts, is that so hard?
I doubt we really disagree on much.
I'm an Eisenhower Republican, pretty much: tax the rich to make society better and to pay for shit.
The poor and middle class have no money, so if you want to spend money, tax the rich.
. Our military protects the money of the rich, as well as the freedoms* of all of us. (*variously defined)
"Eisenhower Republicans" built dams & freeways across the USA.
And had a top marginal tax rate of 70% to pay for it.
Is that bad?
(yes, I know they were probably racist as fuck, I agree and will fess up to the sins before I was born)
One thing I know about Republicans, they don’t have “sub-categories”, they don’t give a fuck as long as their team wins.
That’s strong af and has worked.
Add cheating (insert ways here)
Plus the Senate...
Let’s as dems come together and fight about our differences in front of the msm while the Republicans do the same thing time and time again x 100... shall we?
the goal is for the people to be represented. to stop the corporate dems and republicans from passing legislation that only suits their corporate bosses, that they took massive amounts of donations from. this is why bernie introduced his new plan today. it’s not about dem vs republican. it’s about doing the right thing. obviously the democrats are our best chance on a national scale — which is one of the reasons why you see more progressive dems running for office.
the democrats should be the party of the people, haven’t been for many decades. how can you be against somebody trying to make shit fair, for us?
bernie brings people of all backgrounds together more so than any other candidate running.
their record, history, policy, is what i’m interested in. that info typically shapes what we know as progressive, centrist/corporate dem, republican, tea party republican, white nationalist lol, etc...
you’re concerned w/ how bernie looks?
bernie has looked the same forever. warren, not so much.
i think one of his best “looks” as you say, has been dragging the entire dem party to the left, all while they yell and scream to stay center, even tho the people say otherwise.
Pyramid, one doesn't need to listen to the media to be concerned about a 78 year old man who just had a heart attack. You continue use your msm straw man rather than addressing legitimate questions regarding Sanders' health.
And for the record, i voted for Sanders in the 2016 primary, and I'd even vote for you, if you were the Democratic nominee.
^the man is healthier than last month. how is this bad? biden had brain surgery and is now senile and running for president slobbering all over the place. that's concerning.
the msm has been pushing the idea that bernie should drop our b/c of the heat attack. they hate him. this was the perfect scenario for them the present their fake concern, and trash the man for being old. this is obvious. if you think the msm doesn't hate bernie, you aren't paying attention.
thod lol. question king can't answer questions. poor little guy.
for all who hate trump but want a corporate establishment dem., for whatever reason:
aren't you afraid an obama 2.0 will lead into the inevitable trump 2.0?
If a centerist can mobilize voters, they'll win. Obama was center, and he brought out the most voters in half a decade.
People didn't sit out the vote for Hillary because she was a centerist. That had to do with her own miscalculations in campaigning, as well as the right wing propaganda that the far left lapped up like ice cream.
Don't give the voters that much credit. Most don't know the difference between D and R, let alone the nuanced differences within the parties.
>That driveway was steep and dangerous, he could’ve broken a hip<
My parents are in their mid seventies and this is a real fear. My Pop has been exercising 5 days a week for forty years, had his first ever heart attack this year. Am I concerned about his heath? Damn right I am. And he's retired.
many people i know who voted dem their entire life didn't vote for clinton b/c of her neoliberal stance. strictly policy. the propaganda was pure nonsense.
obama got young people to vote, which was huge.
bernie is going to do the same thing. he's going to win this w/ the young vote. w/ the most diverse base. w/ the most female supported base under 45. bernie bro's lol.
look the people are screaming, again, for representation -- there's one person running who represents the people, and who will follow through and take on the corporate rule. as much as the msm is trying to take him down, bernie is still on top, w/ warren. he's raising the most amount of money, 100% grassroots, only campaign doing so. to try and discredit the guy for anything else other than policy and their means of raising campaign money, that speaks volumes about you.
trump the fake populist president gets the popular and electoral against an establishment dem. imo. gonna be real sad.
we saw trump beat the centrists in 2016. trump is salivating at the potential warren or biden matchup. no doubt. a lifelong republican turned establishment democrat who literally filled out her race on the texas state bar registration as native american in 1986.....in our fucked up society that doesn't lineup well against trump. imo he crushes warren's scripted bs.
>>> bernie is going to do the same thing. he's going to win this w/ the young vote. w/ the most diverse base. w/ the most female supported base under 45. bernie bro's lol. <<<
Who’s leg you gonna hump when he’s not the candidate?
Sad times ahead for you bro.
Maybe ol Bern and Tulsi can gang up on Warren tomorrow (winky face)
I'd really like to see the data showing that Hillary lost because she was a centerist. You could probably make a case that people wanted something different, and Trump got votes because of that.
Pyramid, my point is that if Trump was salivating over the prospect of running against Biden, he wouldn't be relentlessly attacking Biden during the primary process.
>biden candidacy. biden destroyed that. have you been paying attention? <
The polls tell a different story. But none of that matters until people start voting.
i think trump would love to run against biden, or warren. i think he can't help himself when it comes to attacking people -- i get your point; maybe trump is just that unhinged. or in some fucked up way he thinks his attacks will make biden more appealing to the dem voters, attempting to prop biden up for the primary. again it's w/ the fake populist thing. trump running against a centrist/somebody that take corporate money is a no go. no structural change. people see that.
The poll — taken in May, before Speaker Pelosi's latest run-in with AOC and the three other liberal House freshmen known as "The Squad" — included 1,003 likely general-election voters who are white and have two years or less of college education.
These are the "white, non-college voters" who embraced Donald Trump in 2016 but are needed by Democrats in swing House districts.
The group that took the poll shared the results with Axios on the condition that it not be named, because the group has to work with all parts of the party.
The findings:
Ocasio-Cortez was recognized by 74% of voters in the poll; 22% had a favorable view.
Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota — another member of The Squad — was recognized by 53% of the voters; 9% (not a typo) had a favorable view.
Ocasio-Cortez has net-positive favorability ratings among traditionally Democratic-leaning groups in the poll, including adults aged 18 to 34 (+5), people of color (+20) and women (+4). Her support is underwater among more conservative-leaning demographics, including men (-24), whites (-24) and adults aged 55 and older (-22). She is also underwater by 5 points among independents
huge. only centrists would downplay this as inconsequential or negative; and the warren team was looking for these endorsements, huge blow.
3 of the most influential congresswoman, true progressives, the first two muslim congresswoman, all backing sanders for president.
it points to his message and base -- the most diverse, lease white base out of any candidate. more woman support sanders. this is why the bernie bro attack is even funnier this time -- holds no weight and just makes you look foolish.
massive slap in the face to warren. in fact, since all three went for bernie, which only makes sense, her campaign will have to address this. she takes corporate donor money. already has and will take more in the general she's indicated. it's not 100% grassroots like she claims. people can see right thru her evasiveness, her lies, and overall cringeworthy attempt to appeal to everyday people. the question about M4A last night was a great example.

While this is Harris' lowest number yet, support for these candidates as well as the rest of the field...

absurd. they’re trying their best to push through biden and now warren since biden is proving completely incompetent and warren has signaled she’s open to being bought in the general (already has tho). you just refuse to see it i guess? the msm bias against bernie is real. and he’s still doing great.
which is odd b/c bernie has the best #’s against trump atm. and again, this election is about more than beating trump and replacing him w/ another establishment/corporate politician that’ll bend over backwards to please their corporate masters — a centrist won’t cut it and loses to trump again. we lived this in 2016.
bernie first proposed his wealth tax years ago; warren debuted her plan this year, yet the msm has been pushing the story that bernie has pretty much hijacked warren’s idea and release his own slightly more aggressive version. i mean this is the shit wapo prints and people believe.

The Sanders campaign appears to have started canceling a $1.3 million ad buy slated to start Thursday in the first-in-the-nation nominating state of Iowa, according to NBC News. It only announced the television ad on Tuesday.
A Sanders campaign spokeswoman told CNBC the move is a “postponement.” It was unclear if the ad changes were related to Sanders’ health.

thats all you guys ask. who will you vote for in the general. jesus. i supported kerry, obama twice, etc etc locally. i’m as anti trump as they come.
i should be asking you if you’re anti trump based off of what you have said. this election is about crushing trump but as well as restoring power back to the people — not back to establishment dems like we tried in 2016.
so, why are you not supporting sanders in the primary? we need your support in the primary, so we can have a dem nominee who crushes trump. somebody who gets independent votes. conservative votes. remember when bernie went on the fox news townhall and spoke to all those fucking conservative voters — the msm was trashing him for doing so — he’s willing to reach out and explain how trump has con’d the average american into thinking he has their best interest at hand. all those people were asked, and are in favor of M4A.
and equally as important, we need to elect somebody who isnt representing the elite and powerful corporate dominance we’ve seen these past 5+ decades.

pyramid, you and I, and all anti-trumpers, need to stop attacking each other and get down to business: elect democrats, ANY democrats, instead of the GOP anti-democracy fascist fucks.
Is that bad?

the goal is for the people to be represented. to stop the corporate dems and republicans from passing legislation that only suits their corporate bosses, that they took massive amounts of donations from. this is why bernie introduced his new plan today. it’s not about dem vs republican. it’s about doing the right thing. obviously the democrats are our best chance on a national scale — which is one of the reasons why you see more progressive dems running for office.
the democrats should be the party of the people, haven’t been for many decades. how can you be against somebody trying to make shit fair, for us?

If a centerist can mobilize
If a centerist can mobilize voters, they'll win. Obama was center, and he brought out the most voters in half a decade.
People didn't sit out the vote for Hillary because she was a centerist. That had to do with her own miscalculations in campaigning, as well as the right wing propaganda that the far left lapped up like ice cream.
Don't give the voters that much credit. Most don't know the difference between D and R, let alone the nuanced differences within the parties.

Not sure that these endorsements expand Sanders' support. They may even hurt Sanders among some independent voters.
https://www.axios.com/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-poll-democrats-2020-aeaa3...
Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota — another member of The Squad — was recognized by 53% of the voters; 9% (not a typo) had a favorable view.
https://thehill.com/homenews/house/434310-ocasio-cortezs-favorable-unfav...
She is also underwater by 5 points among independents

massive slap in the face to warren. in fact, since all three went for bernie, which only makes sense, her campaign will have to address this. she takes corporate donor money. already has and will take more in the general she's indicated. it's not 100% grassroots like she claims. people can see right thru her evasiveness, her lies, and overall cringeworthy attempt to appeal to everyday people. the question about M4A last night was a great example.
