It was a very entertaining game to watch. Pre game they talked about Fort Hays solid defense. I sure did not see it at all.
Ted had an incredible game with 11 pancakes and gave up zero sacks.
Individual stats are fine but a loss is a loss.
Next up will be Thursday 9/12 at home against Missouri Western Griffons.

From looking at the stat sheet Fort Hays should of won, decent first half lead, 10 more minutes in time of possession, no turn overs, but I see twice the penalty yards vs Fort Hays on the same number of call on the other team. Did the refs hose them?

No it was a fair reffed game.
No it was a fair game.
Missouri was down by 9 with 4.5 to go and they did a fake punt on 4th and 10 with the punter 2 yards in his own end zone. It was actually a thing of beauty. Kid took 2 steps the D turned and ran to cover and the punter swept to the right and picked up a dozen.
Next play was a 70 yard TD pass....momentum swing was huge.
Tigers fumbled on the 50 and Mules were pumped. Another easy score.
Tigers take on Missouri Western Thursday night. Every game on their schedule is a MIAA Conference game.
No time to fuck around, need a big bounce back.

That did not turn out so well.
Lost 28-17
Looking at the stats you would think it was a close game. no it was not. Fort Hays Tigers shot themselves in the foot way too many times.
Dropped passes, throwing in double or triple coverage, turnovers, missed field goal, 17 yards rushing and a spotty defense all adding up to another loss.
Ted played well, 3 pancakes but he was up against 2 beasts and he had his hands full all night. He called and told me he was sore as hell. Good competition for him.
The punter an Aussie kid stopped a touchdown with an old school 100% 1970's clothesline. Looked like pro wrestling. Got a penalty.
They have 9 days till the next game to get their shit together or its going to be a very long season.

No word from Ted or any of
No word from Ted or any of his teammates via phone or text all week. He did text my wife late yesterday stating it has been pure hell this week with practice, films and lectures. They fell very up for this game.
They take on Washburn Ichabods.
WTH?
I had to call, apparently the school was renamed in the 1850's after Ichabod Washburn came in and saved the school from closing. Interesting.
They are 1-1 and hopefully they go 1-2 after the Tigers are done in Topeka, Ks.

The game was on the road and
The game was on the road and one of the players Mom and Grandma set up and cooked the entire team a dinner at their church. Soul food. Ted was in heaven. Fried chicken, pork chops, baked beans, salad, mashed potatoes, yams, green beans, collards and peach upside down cake. Ted said the collards were the best he has EVER eaten.
The Ichobads gave them a hell of a game. They scored and took a 3 point lead with 1 minuet to go.
Fort Hays drove the ball from their 25 down to the 10 yard line and kicked the tying field goal as time expired.
In overtime the Ichobods threw an interception and all the Tigers had to do was not turn the ball over, they drove a couple of yards and opted for a field goal. They made it and walked out with a 31-34 OT victory. The kids were pumped.
I wish I could post a video on here, I'm so shitty at computers, Ted sent me some fantastic clips.
Ted had another stellar performance at least 14 pancakes and has not given up a sack all season. He was named Offensive lineman the 3rd week in a row and he is shooting for All American first team.
We are flying out this weekend for our first game of the season and are looking forward to it.. It's his birthday this weekend and we are going to take all 12 offensive lineman out for dinner on Sunday. (Buffet Style) Wish that restaurant luck!!
Family weekend with 6 games on campus over 3 days and all kinds of activities.
7pm central time kick off.

Been 10 months since I
Been 10 months since I watched him play live, he is a absolute beast. By the 3rd quarter started no one wanted anything to do with him. They pulled him in the beginning of the 4th.
He ended with 9 pancakes and zero sacks allowed.
That's 31 pancakes and zero sacks on the season.
This school and town takes their football very, very seriously. Impressed from his room to his common areas to the bars and restaurants to the clean mid-west people and attitudes. He walks the street with him and everyone knows him as #72 big Ted.
62% females on campus.
They won 44-3 and the team is looking solid.
Tulsa Chris will be at this weeks game. Edmond Oklahoma.
Lets go Tigers.

Nfl scouts will be watching his film soon , im sure...
I listen to Mike Golic and Mike junior on the radio alot, and Mike juniors' stories about trying to make an NFL team, as an undrafted offensive linemen are really interesting to listen to....if you can get yourself noticed, alot of your future after that depends on luck, and staying healthy!!

D fence took a step or two back this week against the second best offense in the MIAA
Ted allowed zero sacks and 47 pancakes in 7 games so far.
The team is rolling and nothing but smiles and snappin jock straps in the locker room right now.

Thanks for the update, Tim. Good that the rebuilt knee is coming along. It seems like it's a few steps back, a few forward, and 15-7 back. He has perseverance, that's for sure.
