In the end, "free water" was the reason I did not go to Vegas; 9.5 hours on dry roads is bad enough ... let alone battling the snow most of the way.
But I did get in three powder days snowboarding over the weekend ... the free water paid dividends on this front; affording the freedom to go anywhere the fuck I wanted inside the orange ropes without having to pay more, impede my line, or peck at me feet with a broom and paper towels.
At same time, completely worn out from shoveling all the free water in my driveway / deck. Ultimately, it would've been nice to see Phil ... but couldn't even do the webcast because I'm on a satellite ISP with a quota.

Oh, just bitching as per BBLV Man's request :-) I'm not sure "why" they do it either, but there are employees at the lvbb who are constantly "cleaning" the floors during the shows with "broomlike devices" and paper towels. It doesn't seem limited to "we've a clean up on aisle three" type spills, but an almost constant presence ... especially on the periphery / in the back. I suppose it's a good thing ... since drunk people tend to spill a lot, but can't help but wonder if it's overkill or if they somehow made a mistake with the flooring selection being too slick & this is their "mitigation"?
There are folks whose sole job is to walk around and sweep up garbage, wipe up any wet spots they see, change full garbage cans and unfortunately clean up what we call "Bio's" (Puke, Piss, Blood). Don't ask!
