Magpie Salute! Rich Robinson

Forums:

Went to this show at the Gramercy last night.

Killer show! Marc Fucking Ford and Rich ROCKED!

Did a nice, touching film tribute to Eddie H. at the start and then went right into "Descending>No Speak, No Slave" which was brilliant!

The lead singer did a nice job on Chris's vocals.

"Ten Years Gone" from last night.

They went into "Custard Pie" after this.

Great show! I hope these guys tour.

This run looked like a good time, RR and MMF are a great guitar duo so it's great to see them playing together again. Are setlists for all the shows posted somewhere?

RIP weird old ed, he was probably really looking forward to these gigs.

Setlists here:

Yes, they did a really nice and touching film tribute to Eddie before the first show.

It was very cool the way they showed the film on a screen then at the end of the film you see/hear Eddie start playing "Descending" and then the screen dropped to reveal the band playing it!

Gave me goosebumps!

Thanks for the setlist link, looks like they played a bunch of nice bc deep cuts.

Did all 4 nights.. what blast!!  "See you in the summer" was Rich's quote before leaving the stage..Europe shows up next..

OK SO - way way back in the day ( early -mid 90's ) Black Crowes would play a 3 night run every year at one of the theaters in which i worked. There was a baby grand stored back stage up stage left, on the path to the stage from the dressing rooms. During the afternoons sometimes, Eddie would hang out and play the piano just killing time - we put a mug on the piano and would throw in dollars or joints for requests...he was a total dude and a gentleman and a great sprit....

Audio from the last night at the Gramercy.

I thought this was the best night of the run:
