Today is Harvey's 76th birthday. He is a good guy & a great guitarist. A Woodstock Hero, He is best known for playing in Canned Heat, with John Mayall, Charlie Musselwhite, & the Rolling Stones. He appears on the "Black & Blue" album & you can hear him on "Hot Stuff". When Mick Taylor left the band he auditioned with the band but they decided to keep their lineup all English.
I think he is the best psychedelic/blues guitarist we have.
I 1st met him when I attended his 40th birthday where he played with his band in an Art Gallery that was South of Market & got raided by the SFPD.
I 1st bought his album "Cristo Redentor" when it was released in 1968.
