It was a fun night and one of my best buddies 50th birthday. So it was just exactly perfect. No complaints on the tempo. It is what it is and my aching knees enjoy a mellow tempo now and then.
They are all in their 70's. No longer spring chickens.
Can't believe I'm defending the sometimes molasses music, but it's the truth. Surprised and glad they're all still producing music and turning some people on. I honestly would see them if they were local.
I always enjoyed a "good times" starter. A very welcoming invitation to ease into the groove and transition from the outside world and into the concert.
