Some fall colors in Utah. Celebrated my first day of retirement Friday with a breakfast up in the canyon (vodka mini for the OJ), then a ride through the mountains to see the fall colors.
Drove up to Brighton ski resort where we saw these two trees glowing incredibly brightly in the sun. Probably why the two folks are there looking at them. Noticed them from a distance, and as soon as I pulled over to take the shot, the sun went behind a big cloud. Timing is everything. The trip from Brighton over and through the hills to Park City was very vibrant. The aspens were amazing. Nice day.

Was in southern Utah this week. Colorado River at Hittle Bottom near Moab, sunset from a friend's deck in Capitol Reef area, and the sky pic that appeared after sunset.
Montana sapphires from Gem Mountain pay dirt. (hasn't been available for a while, my fave bday present for myself, cause that's how I facet, er, roll!).
