Live Stream-The Del Shannon Show Friday 2/3/17

Forums:

Yea I know, These guys are old!! But they are legendary!! Johnny Rivers, Jack Scott, Lloyd Price, Jimmy Gilmore

Tune in this Friday around 8:00 PM in Iowa, 9:00 PM eastern (MI), 6:00 PM western friends, here on my Facebook page for our live stream of "The Del Shannon Show" with backing by, "The Tailfins" live from the Surf Ballroom! It's going to be a great week. I'll be spending my Birthday this Thursday with the Westover's & friends...plus Albert Lee, Will MacGregor and Jack Scott!

Then Friday I'll be rockin' the stage with so many great acts closing the night out bringing Del Shannon's music back to the Surf Ballroom.

Also on the bill is Johnny Rivers, Jack Scott, Lloyd Price, Jimmy Gilmore & The Fireballs... also Jeff and Tommy Vee (Bobby Vee's sons) along with Ar Stevens (Bobby Vee's long time guitar player) will be performing a tribute to the late artist plus many many more!!!

The Surf Ballroom is the last venue where Buddy Holly, Ritchie Vallens and the Big Bopper performed on February 2, 1959. Their plane crashed around 1:00 Am ( I believe) on February 3rd shortly after taking off from the the Mason City airport.

The Winter Dance Party has been an annual event remembering the fallen stars at the Surf since 1979. Del Shannon headlined the first show and went back many times. Del's last performance was February 3, 1990 honoring Buddy, Ritchie & the Big Bopper.

Thanks Patches!

Where's the stream?

Links are not working.

Must be on my end. Having trouble with youtube links as well. Hmmmm

And thanks.

Sorry I'm not finding it either. Maybe he will post it later.

"We had a technical difficulty... however, we did tape the whole show and will will upload as soon as we can. So sorry"

These Facebook live streams are not the most reliable, and can really vary in quality. The David Bowie and Buddy Guy were VG except they were only in 480p. Lucinda Williams, and Holly Bowling, not so great. The nice thing about FB is artists can easily put these up and they are starting to stream whole shows [such as the artists above].

How cool. I can't wait to hear it. I love Johnny Rivers.

And apparently Jerry did too: Rockin' Pneumonia, Washed My Hands

Imagine a rockin' Jerry Secret Agent Man.
