Amy

Forums:

currently killing it on Jeopardy.

anyone watching the domination?

I thought this thread was about her/him. Been watching it for weeks and the fast answer knowledge is very impressive. I know some answers but my brain doesn't compute so instantly. It might take a minute or 2 for me ro recall the answer. Unless it' obvious to me.

she's getting riskier in her bets.

yes, I'm watching. She's cost herself a bunch of money, must be close to 100K, with wrong final jeopardy answers.

it's also a weird drama to have Ken hosting as people chase his record.

I never watch Jeopardy but I did for a few minutes tonight after reading this thread. I like her solid manner and it seemed like she knows a lot and isn't as serious about the money as some of us might be; she's just going for it.

doolittle, why do your call her her/him? What's the point, she knows who she is and she's obviously Amy.

Any way you cut it, she's impressive. However, I do think that some of her opponents have been duds. She's gotten quite a few finals incorrect, and she didn't have massive scores going in. Her opponents had abysmal scores, so she had a lot of leeway.

None of that matters. A win is a win, and 41 wins is just crazy. You can't take anything away from her.

For those wondering, she has been in the studio for 9 days taping. They do 5 shows a day. There's enough time for wardrobe changes, and they do very little editing. It takes about 30 minutes to shoot an episode. I'm a nerd and have researched it.

She isn't quite as exciting as the other all-time champs but just as impressive.

There are some categories where after she answers get the first question, you just know she's running the rest of the category.

She bets smart and somewhat conservatively until the lead is comfy. Not many close games either. It's somewhat amusing to see the utter exasperation of the other contestants when they are trailing by $20K+ with 1/3 of the game still remaining. Smart people being taken to school.

that's serious mental tenacity

Her in and out nose ring is so hot.

I mean, really?

Amy is out. It was a good run. Kudos to your knowledge.

C'mon, Doolittle, the Westies are 3 hours behind. That's why I was so cryptic.

That final was easy as shit.

Ken Jennings is breathing a little easier.

40 wins is a good run.  Amy got a good haul.  Hope she enjoys it.

^cryptic?

Really! Where?

Yes, 5 games a day.  Amy's mentioned in a recent interview that they only film on Monday and Tuesday. Still grueling to do 5 games in a row.

Back to what I said in my first post: she flubbed too many finals, and was just lucky that so many of her opponents sucked. It's fitting that  she lost the way she did. That question was super easy.

Once the dweeb in the round glasses got that late Daily Double, you could sense trouble. A great run though.

I'd probably push back a bit on the notion that many of her opponents sucked. All of the great players are so fast, they often make the other contestants look pedestrian in comparison.

The whole game seemed like easier answers, hell I got some right.

well, this proves i'm the ultimate cooler....

A most impressive run, but the games were totally lacking of any suspense,, I'm glad she's done.

Every game she won was over by the end of the Jeopardy round,, usually over by the first commercial break.

Ken wanted her bad, so obvious.

She'll have Ken's job soon

I like Blossom as host. I'm not sure why she sometimes dresses like a Hassidic rebbetzin.

>Ken wanted her bad, so obvious

here's a clue - that's how a real man speaks to a woman he respects and admires for her character and intellect.

<< yada yada character and intellect,

that he wants to ride. Of course Ken would never be attracted to a dummy. Duhhhh
