Wartime speeches are often easier than trying to talk ones way out of (pandemics, gas prices / inflation, etc). Will there be a bully on the pulpit?

I watched the first 20-30
I watched the first 20-30 minutes. Biden was pretty much on top of his game. I turned it off when he was talking about jobs created and the Republican side of the House remained seated and silent, presumably because they don't need jobs.

I thought it was a weak
I thought it was a weak speech too, but according to the polls over 70% liked it so what the fuck do I know. BTW the Republicans also sat on their hands when Biden called for safe drinking water for children, because I guess that is something we can't agree on.
The worst thing he said was that it's time to go back to the office. We'll see how this plays out. So far now Biden has joined the mayor of NYC and the mayor of Sacramento in calling for all the companies to bring everyone back. After 2.5 years of work from home combined with the great retirement of the baby boom generation I don't think this is going to go well for the work from the office crowd. I get all the problems this causes cities, but I think people aren't going to be too happy after their two hour drive in and then going to the bathroom right after your coworkers explosive diarrhea. But there is no status on zoom calls everyone's office is the same so management want's everyone back in so the underlings in their cubes can admire their tastefully decorated offices.

Joe spoke well, not as old and feeble as I had feared, but there should have been much more on helping Ukraine and tearing putin to shreds. That's the only bipartisan thing that exists in amerikan politics today,, he should have stayed with it.
