Well, shucks. Just caught them for the first time earlier this month, and liked what they are doing very much. Holly is a truly talented player and I'm sure she can shine in other places. She's great in that band but I'm not sure she's so integral that another player couldn't step in. Hope they keep it going without her.
I saw Holly a few weeks ago with John K. She is highly talented and puts on a great show all by herself. Not sure of any other Dead keyboardist that I can think of that could do the same thing.
Bassist Andrew Altman will part ways with Railroad Earth after the band's Horn O'Plenty concerts on November 25 and 26 in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Altman cited the desire to step away from touring in a note he penned announcing the decision shared by Railroad Earth.Sep 21, 2022
Welcoming Dave Speranza to the Band!
We’re delighted to announce Dave Speranza will be joining Railroad Earth on bass. Dave lives in Brooklyn, NY and amongst many accolades, most recently hails from Sarah Jarosz tour sharing the stage with Mike Robinson. Join us in giving Dave a warm welcome next week at Strings & Sol, and beyond!

Still haven't seen 'em. Or Holly. Still hope to, in both cases.
Railroad Earth will be needing a bass player.
Good luck to both Holly and Andrew.
