Family Band at Brooklyn Bowl

Thanks for the link, m i k e e - just tuned in, our phearless leader doing a great job, and they sound great.

Thanks!

Cool show ! Cant wait for the cap!

I really enjoyed that and the Bowl had a bit of room tonight..

I look forward to hearing that from the beginning, with good headphones, while on the clocksmiley

These guys sound pretty good. Grahame, Alex, and Ross have all stepped up their respective games and it shows. Phil and Jason great as usual.

After all, this is the only Phil band that gets to play together often enough to sound like they've rehearsed!

The family band rocks.

Dead lite.  You guys are too easily impressed.

How was the Jerry Dance Party?

Dead lite is better than no dead at all.

Setlist anyone?

the number of posts says a lot in these type of threads...

I hadn't seen or listened to Phil in awhile so I queued up the video steam...i did not check the lineup beforehand but new it was the family band...it opened strong with jack straw...but soon became apparent that the band lacked a "Jerry" dude or a true X factor guitarist to take the jams to another level...essentially this was bar band style dead with some honky tonk and rock...Crosby on the keys admirably filled in well trying to push the jams a little...Phil later back for most of the first set stepping up to the mike on uncle jons which was the highlight tune for set 1...set 2 opened with I have to think the first even shakedown dire straits sandwich WWII has was ok the shakedown portion being stronger then the dire straits portion...then on estimated I think the whole show went up a notch from there to the end...I saw what I wanted which was  Phil does still have at...box was a strong encore with the warf rat treat...it was actually box>rat>box...fun show

Some typos in there sorry

Anyone know Where that Al Jarreau clip was from? B4 the encores?

nnjimmy is live now

Stream sounds pretty good, though it's minor league Dead for sure. Grahame kind of gets it, but Ross James' heavy-handed rhythm playing reminds me of Tom Fogerty with Jerry and Merl in 73. Not good.

Would be great if some of the JRAD guys could stop by this show -- they live in Brooklyn, right?

Although they are playing Broken Arrow now, which is pretty, pretty nice.

It's a bit garage-y sometimes, but Phil props it all up, 'natch, and the GD vibe is there.

A little youthful energy, ala Neil Young & Promise of the Real, goes a long way.

Beautiful Peggy-O,...real nice
