Put That CLOWN no Behind Bars !!

Not something I'm following closely but the armorer is responsible for what is in the gun and director said non armed gun on set right before it happened. From what I read it is no way standard practice for actors to check the gun that has been handed to them as most would have no idea what they are looking for. It feels to me like a prosecutor wants their 15 minutes of fame.

But as I said not something I'm following closely and I don't know shit about how it is all supposed to work other than one article I read.

The whole thing is like an episode of Columbo

anyone calling for Baldwin's incarceration is a clown.  How many movies has the man made with prop guns?  There was zero expectation on his part that he would be handed a loaded firearm on a movie set.  No rational person could conclude his actions were reckless

>>>anyone calling for Baldwin's incarceration is a clown<<<

not sure that interview thing was a great idea.

I think its plausible that a jury could find Alec Baldwin criminally liable in his capacity as a producer of this film. Plausible, like; thread-the-needle kind of plausibility.

Absent the information of who brought live ammo onto the set, and for what purpose, a complete investigation has not been conducted. Certainly this information can be known. It must be known.

The follow-on questions that this info would prompt are way too important to overlook. Without this info the prosecutor hasn't done his job. An impartial jury will most certainly grasp this notion.

Interview was dumb, but whether he actually pulled, or touched, or even breathed on the trigger is still not of primary importance here. Handling a prop weapon was reasonable, required, and completely within the scope of his employment.

So now he's possibly set himself up to be impeached as a witness (not allowed to testify), and which the prosecutor knows is his only prayer of possibly sticking a conviction of any type.

He's not going to prison. Make an intelligent argument why he should.

If found guilty he'll get probation. He may pay a fine. Alec will almost certainly pay a very large civil settlement in litigation down the road. He's also got to live with this on his chest for the rest of his days.

What a sad thing all around

I think its plausible that a jury could find Alec Baldwin criminally liable>>>

Two juries found OJ Simpson & Robert Blake not guilty, deadlocked on the first trials of the Menendez Brothers & Phil Spector.

So what?

his career is over after that

thankfully he has dynasty monies to live on

we don't need to worry about ol alec

He'll be back finishing this movie sometime this year and then making bank at the Box Office.
