Just a friendly FYI.

Kinda want to hear some of this. Hope they do a real tour at some point.

A little contrived, appropriative maybe, but I bet it could sound real good.

I figured it was probably well worth the $10 'cover charge' (tickets) at LA's Mint so I pulled that lever today.

Juan Qué?

Nicely done, Mike.

Damn, Oscar Hernandez is involved in this? I'm surprised. I've seen him many times and I'm a big fan of his. He was in the great Ruben Blades band Seis Del Solar before starting & leading the best salsa band in the world, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra.

Latin/salsa music is IMO the best live music in the world, and Hernandez is a major player in that world. He's not going to be involved in something that sucks and I'm betting he picked the Latin musicians in this band, so of all the myriad Grateful Dead projects, THIS one has my interest.

If you like to dance, I expect this band will get you dancing.

It sounds like Andy Vargas from Santana is in the band too. There is a promo clip in the original link (https://www.latindead.com) that features some of their music in the background.

If JK wears his kimono, it will be more like the Latinx Dead.

I plan on checking out the Sweetwater show as it falls on my birthday.....

Only $10 for The Mint show? Trigger pulled. I'll be there.

Sweet! We'll be looking forward to seeing you there, Mike! Maribel likes JohnK from his DSO and Furthur days and will be somewhat uncharacteristically coming along as well - so the two of you can meet.
