The legend of Mr Peepers is coming to an end. Intestinal cancer. 9:30AM tomorrow he'll be put down.
A cat that spent a majority of his time outdoors and had far more than 9 lives.
Fell out of two windows, 2nd and 3rd stories. 200+ cat fights, maybe more, it's just what he liked to do. He spent the entire summer of 2003 living with the feral cats up on Kite Hill in Eureka Valley. Normally when you don't see your cat for two and a half months, ya' kinda assume it's dead. But he always showed back up.
Final meal: Rotisserie chicken from Fresh Market. Garlic and Tyme infused.

Wow. That's a long time.
I had neighbors in Berkeley who claimed their cat was 25. I guess they actually can go past 20.

I had the honor and privilege of knowing Mr. Peepers, from the heady days back in SF to his later years back East. He was a good and decent cat and will be missed.
