RIP Willis Reed

Forums:

Damn, this one really hurts. Another piece of a very special time of my life is gone. RIP "The Captain"

Yep, one of the best moments in sports when Willis Reed walked out. I was a Knicks die-hard at the time. Delivering the NY Daily News that season, and playing on 3 teams..

Guys like Willis Reed make the current NBA stars look like divas.

and what do the owners of the teams look like Dave? that's right you don't see them, but they are a lot worse than divas, even to this day

RIP Champ

Saw his entry in game 7, 1st year I followed the NBA.

No East Coast feed for the Lakers home games back then, just NYC & North Jersey saw the late games in LA.
