i know that objectively, the best berthas and jack straws are all in the range of 1971 - 1974, but i kinda prefer alot of the much much later era versions when they add the big, cheesy, crowd pleasing phil bombs at a few specific points in each song. i know, i know...what a custie.
Bertha is the the most versatile of GD songs: show/set opener/set closer, seque-able (is that a word? ha), pre/post drums and my favorite experience out of Dark Star...
