My mom had (an atypical) Parkinson's without tremors, but with her balance affected and other typical Parkinson's traits. She had a good life, though sometimes quite difficult. She lived til she was 94.
I wached Mike Fox and he has had all the best treatment and still is a mess. There are three different types of Parkinson's. My mom was diagnosed in 1979 at the age of 49.
She had the real bad kind, she lost her balence, always fell to the left, she froze up. She was a speach teacher who couldn't speak. She wasn't able to swallow and had to have a feeding tube. I spent two weeks with her at Strong Hospital while on a drug holiday. She passed in 1992 at the age of 62. I'm happy that they might have found a new treatment. I haven't inherited the Parkinson's, but I have been dealing with drop foot in both feet for the past18 months and wouldn't wish this on anyone
