I've been a golf fan my entire life. No More. To see the PGA (Professional Golfers Association) so easily give into the LIV blood money tour and now make it their own is beyond a disgrace. I was a life long Cleveland Browns fan until their owner Art Modell sold out Cleveland in 1995 and moved the team to Baltimore. I stopped watching football that year and haven't returned. Have way more time for other things on Sundays now.
I doubt if I ever return to being a golf fan after this PGA sell out. My God, if you can't take a stand against a murderer, then I can't abide. Financially I understand that the Royal & Ancient, The USGA, and the Masters Organization all caved when they allowed LIV golfers to compete in their respective Major tournaments, but was surprised to see the PGA followed suite and let the LIV players compete in the PGA Championship. I guess the handwriting was on the wall when the PGA made that decision. How does the PGA ban all LIV sellouts from the PGA tour just a year ago and then allow them to compete in their marquee tournament this year.
F' Greg Norman, F' Phil Mickelson, F' Bryson DeChambeau, F' Brooks Koepka, F' Dustin Johnson, F' Sergio Garcia, F' the LIV tour and at this point F' the PGA. Those golfers were simply willing to sell their souls for a huge paycheck from a murderer. I have the upmost respect for the PGA golfers who didn't take the easy money from MBS and his LIV golf tour. The big names like Tiger Woods and Rory Mcilroy literally turned down offers for many hundreds of millions to play on his LIV tour. All these golfers have now been sold out by the PGA. Wow!
For those who may not be interested in golf, this really isn't a golf story. It is a story on morality. LIV golf was recently started and fully funded to the the tune of billions by Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS). Just an extremely well funded public relations maneuver to win over fans for Saudi Arabia and more importantly its crown prince and defacto ruler MBS. That is the same guy who had the journalist Jamal Khashoggi murdered because he dared write critical articles about the good ole crown prince MBS.

Thought this would be a Tom
Thought this would be a Tom Waits thread.
If I recall, there is some connection between the House Of Saud and the 9/11 plotters and perpetrators, which would make a lot more blood than just Khashoggi's on their hands.
It's all a little weird, as the prevailing belief was that the LIV Tour was about to crumble and their lawsuit against the PGA would fail. On the other hand, Jack Nicklaus says peace is good for the game, and I tend to trust guys with a 60 years in the game perspective.

Jack Nicklaus was kinda my idol when i was a kid growing up. Always respected him and his perspectives until he came out to heavily promote Trump's reelection in 2020. Lost all respect for him at that point.

Incredible to me that folks would be surprised by this sellout. Have you not been paying attention?
For Christ's sake, professional golfers are literally measured by how much money they've made
not how many games they've won, or how many holes in one they've gotten
Golf is a tragically boring game of old rich men's one upsmanship
its not about the money
its only about the money

The Saudi's aren't doing
The Saudi's aren't doing anything to anyone who doesn't want to accept their offer. They're just exposing people's real interests.
Ex-cops and ex-military get paid exceptionally well by the cartels south of us to traffic, murder, kidnap and extort. Morals don't necessarily provide for your family.

Wish Tiger and Rory would break out and start their own players league with some new investors
The only good thing that might come of this is seeing the Saudi's fuck Trump by not playing on any of his courses
