Reliving this magical night in the city of brotherly love in the Brokedown palace that was the Spectrum. Killer Box of rain to close Set I. The final Sailor>Saint played by the Grateful Dead after a great opening trio of Half Step>Mansmart>High Time and an absolutely monster Dew out of space to close the show. I have very fond memories of this run which was my last trip to the Spectrum before moving to California for good.
Highly recommended listening for this Sunday while watching basketball....

I have very fond memories of this run>>>2nd year in a row the Spectrum allowed dance concerts, no wristbands, no chairs on the floor, good vibes.
1st of only 2 Dews in '86, also Brent's BCT meltdown. I thought the return of Box @ Hampton sucked the energy out of the Coliseum, the 3rd night there was one the worse shows I saw in the mid-80's.
They hit the ground running to start the 1st Spectrum show, one of my all time favorite openers...Gimme'>Deal>Hand Jive & Come a Time in the ballad slot.

That run was my last time back East for GD shows. They mixed it up a bit. Good energy. Had a great time.

Your memory is different from mine. From my favorite seat at Hampton, on the rail directly opposite the stage, it was the best. Crowd seemed into it, too.
