This scaes me a little

Forums:

Routine physical. The doctors staff will not answer why.  My doc wants to see me in person on Friday.

Shit.

(((Jazfish)))

(((positive outcomes)))

be nice to yourself buddy

we care about you

Thanks, bss. I've never had a call like that before.

One good thing i know from being with a surgical person for almost two decades is if it was urgent, you'd be asked to come in "right away".

Try not to worry too much.  Easier said than done, but stress makes everything worse.

Talk soon, friend.

((((((((( jazfish & Family ))))))))))

Best of luck Jazz and keep us posted heart

Dear Jazfish, so hard to be at ease after that call.

We're here with you, hoping for the best possible news. You've been through a lot, now it's the unknown.

What Bss said, what joe said, and Sigmund, too.

Wrapping you in love, and hope, throwing in a little more love.

Try not to worry. I've had doctors do that just to follow up on test results or for really mundane issues.

"Your Vitamin D is a little low. You should start taking a supplement."

And I agree with joe.  The fact that it was scheduled for the end of the week instead of immediately suggests it is routine follow up.

May the force be with you!!!  Positive outcome, it's nothing.

Thanks zoners. I truly love you all. You have eased my mind from a type of medical call i have never gotten in my life.

The best of the best for sure.

Maybe he's trying to drum up a little business? Boats and Benzes don't pay for themselves, you know.

Keep up posted, Jaz. I'm expecting this will turn out just exactly perfect for you.

Jaz, he's probably just gonna try and talk you into being an organ donor. Or ask your opinion about the Sphere.

Perhaps your doc wants the answers to Alan's questions before the long weekend.

When I was in the family practice biz, unless it was an emergency or something that couldn't wait we never gave "bad news" on Fridays since it would be hard to get emerging questions answered over a weekend. Many docs adhere to that idea. I hope your doc follows that plan.

Here with you, Jaz.

The above posts show how good this place can be.

He probably wants to congratulate you in person for being so healthy for your age.

Mike has a point. They can bill your ins more for a doc's visit.

I hope it's something simple.  Again , thank you all for calming my nerves.

Viva does rock.yes

Hey Jaz,I will send you positive thoughts tomorrow morn, too.

I'll be at my post-op appt at the same time... I'm a little worried that the result for left eye (today's surgery) is not as good as the first eye they worked on.   We can compare notes tomorrow!

Best thing you can do is get good sleep tonight and take your vitamins.

Tomorrow will be bright !

I'll post a funny photo to my bday thread for entertainment.

Best wishes for good outcomes for you too, LLOLLO :)

Thank you, Joe!

(((( kind outcomes for all)))))

wishing you zoners well!

((((Positive Outcomes Friday Vibes))))  sending love your way today Jazfish.

Maybe they just want to extend your warranty. Best wishes brother.

((((((((((((((( Jazfish Love ))))))))))))))))))))

All of you are for sure my friends. I feel lucky. This thread truly reminds of the old Hep C folder.

Never been happier to find out I have Hep C today. Markers showed up in my blood work My very good Dr. did not realize I did six months of the old interferon treatment in 2000 and again in 2010. I have been cured since the last treatment. It's been so long I don't think about it any more till today.

Good to go!!!!!

Sorry I didn't post sooner. That shit scared me a little.

Love you folks.

Jaz ~ no worries your way ~~ Rob

Not now , Rob.

Right on, right on and right arm.

Great news, Jaz. Spark one up in celebration and have a great weekend.

Hi sweet jaz, I was telling Moses today that we had hung out in the Hep C folder and we have experience of waiting  those kinds of results. I didn't know you were going to find out that you tested positive now. Shit.

Being in the Hep C  folder was formative and held us all during some fragile times. Love you.

Love to Jazz.  So happy it wasn't really bad shit. Do you have to do any treatment, or were these just markers in your bloodwork that just show you once had treatment for this. So your viral load is still undetectable?  So glad this went well for you today.  Love, Love, Love

I apologize, I should have explained better.

I like my doctor.  I know my doctor. Simply put the way our relationship developed over the years and the tone of his staff(they know me) I didn't think I was overreacting being concerned about a serious cancer.

I had Hep C a long time ago. I did the interferons couple of times a long time ago and finally achieved a zero viral load, cured. Kazinga! :)

The bad news doc told me today I am being diagnosed with the Hep C yet my liver panel is just fine. I guess our permanent record ain't so permanent.  He didn't know that.i was cured. Antibody markers will always show in the blood even with a zero viral load/count. Those antibodies prevent people that are cured from donating blood or organs. Kinda sucks.

So anyway I told him what I typed here and it's his weekend and my good news. High five and a fist bump party on.out the door. Diggit!

My wife and I just celebrated with a bowl of bubble hash. I' m typing all this crap on my cell.phone fuggin really stoned and happy.

VIVA LA ZONE!

Happy news Jaz!

My post-op appt went well, too. Takes 2 weeks for the eye to heal.

Good on you , LloLLo.   Cateracts? Seeing colors again is a gift.

Wow, just great news Jaz.  So happy for you and family.

Best of news! Keep it on

I am a little confused Jazz. Your current Doc did not know you had HepC and is just seeing evidence of your prior infection  or is this a recurrence?  No viral load?  Sounds like you are not worried.

I was a bit confused too, Mark, but if Jaz is happy, I'm happy. Glad stuff is working out for everyone! LLOLLO, Tim, Logan and Andy, ALL y'all!

My old doc from a long time ago recommended my new  doc of the last eight  years, Mark. Ilike him,  was on the LSU football team that year of the national championship 2007.

I guess the hep c records were buried deep. Apparently he wasn't aware  of previous evidence. He came across the previous antibodies and thought the virus was active. The virus has been dead for fifteen years since my second round of the interferon treatment.

His bad news turned into good news. I told him I have been cured.

Dr's happy, I'm happy.  The staff are good folks they were happy.

Remember how confusing all that stuff was back in the Hepcat folder?

yay for happy bubbly outcomes

(((((Heppahs))))))

Good to hear Jaz.

Keep on keep'n on.

I was clear after my second round of interferon(this time with ribaviron), but it relapsed after about 6 months.  Took Harvoni to get rid of it for good(I hope).

Same to you , Mark. I recall your Harvoni cure. I did two rounds also,  with success from the peg interferon plus the riba. Ahh, the rage. :):).

We're good now.
