RIP Einstein

He passed away suddenly this afternoon. He was only two and apparently in good health. This pic was when he was a kitten.
He was a rescue. He didn't look much like a Maine Coon, but we always suspected he was part Coon from his behavior. Unfortunately some Maine Coons have a congenital defect of the heart that can cause sudden death. We lost two previous Cooners from that syndrome. There is now a test for it - there wasn't then.
He was my best friend.
