Tough weekend.   Phil, Billy x2

Share the wealth SF!!!

In, thx!

That should be an interesting scene, as that "park" isn't particularly large.

I wonder if they'll charge $50 to park like they do for the ballgames.

Dang, I would definitely check this out but I'll be in Thousand Oaks seeing Jon Anderson and The Band of Geeks performing old school YES songs the night before.

That's too bad Googly. Did you know they're also playing in your backyard at the little amphitheatre on the UC Santa Cruz campus the night before? I've never seen a show in that venue but I've been there and it's awesome. Funny, and annoying, how often multiple shows will land on the same night.

If I was faced with that choice I'd go with the Anderson band over the Harrison/Belew band. There's just something missing for me in that THeads cover band, while this Anderson Yes cover band sounds really good. I'm bummed they're not coming through the Bay Area.

It funny how so many bands that appeal to so many of us nowadays are individuals from original bands recreating the original music with different musicians.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that, I suppose it's a sign of "maturity" and it just goes with the territory, like wondering why my back and knees hurt for no reason today, and what the hell is wrong with my shoulder?!?

Musta' hurt it screaming at those kids on my lawn when they were blaring that crap they call music.

I saw Jon and the Geeks last month, exceeded expectations for me. They sounded great

I was hoping they would add a Bay Area stop at the end of the tour....

Super chill place to see some music.  The overhanging limestone wall off to the left side behind the stage was our rock climbing spot for years before the '89 quake made it [even more] unsafe.

But that's the night of the JA show, and I am actually looking forward to spending a long weekend with the wife road tripping to see one of our remaining old time favorites.

I'm just thankful there are still a few of the old timers still willing to go through everything it takes to put together a good tour.  I try not to dwell on the fact that so many of our heroes have either passed on or are not into it/too old... it's a reality I never even contemplated when I was younger, otherwise I might have been even more manic about catching every show I could.

Awesome!  From the youtube vids I've seen, Jon's voice is strong and the band sounds pretty damn good and full of energy... can't freakin' wait!

I'm in.   I like free.   Have to get my Billy tix now.

Considering there is a show the night before for $100, I'm wondering if this will be shortened.
