Legendary Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh will perform eight dates on the tour, joining the Summer Session on August 13 & 14 at Denver's Red Rocks Amphitheater. Phil Lesh & Friends will also play August 15 in Salt Lake City, UT, August 17 & 18 in Eugene, OR, August 20 & 21 in Berkeley, CA, and August 22 in Santa Barbara, CA. Lesh will be joined each night by guitarist Steve Kimock, with the remainder of his band made up by members of the Summer Session artists."

At the Santa Barbara show I was backstage smoking a joint with Warren before his set with Phil. After, heading out to my seats I decided to detour and use the unoccupied bathroom backstage.
Walked in and saw three empty urinals. Pulled up to the middle one.
I start my business when in walks Phil, Warren and Kimock.
Phil parks on my left, Warren parks on my right and Kimock has to wait until I'm done....
That "Summer Sessions 99" tour was great ! I was only able to see 8/7/99 ....was "close to home" & we were coming off of a busy phish summer (1st 4shows & last 4 shows)
wow..time flies ..great memory , THANKS !.....crazy it was that long ago....i was 21 at the time.
and i found the OLD Tape Trading board while looking for the Cuthbert 99 SCI shows ..somehow i wound up here , traded a bunch of music ...it was fun .
and it has turned into almost 25 years of smiles... Thanks Zoners !

Hate to say it, but Phil looks like he is slowing down. A multi-night run back east might be a little much for the dude.
Speaking of "slowing down," going to see the Bob Weir Incident on 10/27 at Hulaween. Wonder if he will be able to pull the brakes on the techno stuff.
