I mean I shouldn't be surprised but yet I am. I mean a guy that looks like Hill on a game day driving a Ferrari. Who the fuck did they think they were pulling over.
I don't know who he is, but this is incredibly disturbing. It doesn't matter who he is, it matters how he's being treated and what are the cops so afraid of? The whole thing is fucked up.
In other news, Lamar Jackson spent the entire day out on the field practicing outrunning two defensive linemen and a Baltimore City police car "just in case."
It's not easy being a cop, which is why so many small-minded power-trippers do it.
Still, if Hill had just accepted the officers authority, which they have, and calmly complied with them then that situation could have gone very differently.
And, if the cops had just handled it better, i.e. DE-escalated what began as a minor situation, which is a pretty simple thing to do especially when you have all the power, the situation would also have played out differently.
It's easy to say from the cheap seats, because again it's not easy being a cop, but it's really a shame that police officers are not trained better at the art of de-escalation, because we now see so many examples of that skill lacking in so many officers.
Bottom line IMO, they're both to blame; the cops more so because they had the authority and didn't have to act like they were soldiers in Iraq pulling over a potential car bomb (something those guys may well have done in the past) but also Hill because he acted like an entitled superstar who can't believe anyone is messing with the greatness that is him.
Especially these days everybody knows that cops can be sketchy, but they also have the power so in those situations the best thing to do is just comply, especially if you're innocent.
Tyreek Hill was in pain recovering from injury. This caused him to move slow. He did what they asked. Those cops are toast. Cops need to be trained to treat everyone like they are 90 years old ( and potentially armed ).
>>Tyreek Hill was in pain recovering from injury. This caused him to move slow. <<<
>>He ran 80 yards for a touchdown.
lol, that's exactly what I thought when I read his quote. That's a terrible excuse. Dude can run the 4.4 40, spin, make cuts, and score TDs against the most highly honed athletes in the world, but injuries prevent him from pressing the down button on the window or trying to get out of the car? He needed a better excuse for why he was moving at his own very slow pace and not following directions. It doesn't excuse the cops for escalating the situation, or even cuffing his teammate that stopped, it just makes him look like an entitled dick.
Oh I see. I don't follow sports. Not defending him ,I was repeating what he said in an interview. Probably should have made that clear. Maybe the cops knew exactly who he was and wanted to Phuck around and Phind out.
Tyreek is and entitled superstar who has faced charges of strangling his pregnant girlfriend in the past. He is an asshole and acted like one when he got pulled over for a traffic stop.
That doesn't mean that cops get to teach him a lesson for his rudeness by knelling into his back and pushing him to the ground later when he was standing there handcuffed posing no threat. These cops are just gang members with a license to shoot people anytime they feel threatened.
Um Dont Speed Dont Drive Crazy if you get pulled over Roll Your Window Down if they Ask You To Exit Your Vehicle COMPLY While NOT Mouthing Off He Didnt Do It ASS To The Ground ! The End.
You would think that with as many cases as this guy has caught, his agent would have his lawyer business card taped to his drivers license, and instruct him to tell the police to call his lawyer.
