seeing it in asheville in october

very much looking forward to it

Disappointed that he didn't play the Bay area when he was in town last month.

October 9th for Sturgill

Billy in  December

only two shows of the year.....crowds just ain't my thing anymore, never really were, but these two are smaller venues with like-minded folk.

He did do some kinda gig at bimbos

He did play the BA last month, at Outside Lands and also a "secret" insider show at Bimbo's.

That's the worst thing about festivals; they pay big for the artists but they become their tour stop for the region and take away a headlining show at a proper venue.

Ha! I don't even look to see who is playing Outside Lands anymore. Didn't know about the Bimbo's gig but did get to hang out with him at a BBQ so all was not lost.

Nice Turtle I Like Him and His Band  !

i have so many things on my plate lately can't make this one

Right ON ! S.S.

He just played a 2hr 45 min set without so much as a fart between songs. Incredible. Band was absolutely locked in. Go to the show!

covers: whiter shade of pale, la woman, purple rain, stir it up tease, red red wine . All moshed together. Incredible energy and travel worthy musicianship

I just drove 3hrs each way on a school night. Was worth it

Wife just put in two weeks notice and wants to vacation before she starts working again.

this will be in play

I feel real lucky to have seen a show on his tour that was shut down at the start of Covid. Hit the show outside of Atlanta. That tour was promoting his movie soundtrack, and he strapped on the electric and rocked the fuck out the who;e show. Tyler Childer opened and it was a night and day difference between the two when Sturgill came out in full guitar god mode. The mother f'er can f'n play

he admonished the crowd for being late. security line for wristbands was slow and painful.

again, this is not to be missed. home boy is amped up, in his prime and absolutely rocked the fucking house.

maybe the longest single set of music i have seen performed.

Nobody went to Oregon shoes?

I know he's playing in bend tonight

nice venue, good sized, usually always tickets out front

little busy harvesting over here

Anybody who has not yet seen this film should do so as soon as they can.

put the fiskars down, delegate that shit and get yer ass to the show!

Sturgill will headline Night 3 of Dead Ahead on the main stage, as well as be a part of Bobby's Dead Ahead band.

sturgil is a boss

>>>he admonished the crowd for being late<<<

Artists should never do that. Unlike the talent, most of us patrons have other things to do on a show day, and we don't get to just drive in the back door, park twenty feet from the stage and be welcomed by security as they step aside. Plus, artists virtually never have a clue what's happening front of house; someone should remind him of that.

And that Mexico event looks like a good time. Out of my price and effort range, but I bet those who go will have a real good time.

Woz? I know many of your friends like to make these deals, any chance we'll get some boots on the ground reviews?

it was very refreshing to see an artist in their prime. homeboy was in great shape. it's like seeing marvin haggler in his prime, mean and ready to kick some ass. so many of the artists i see and love are quite long in the tooth...

That was a good one.  Sturgill's song of the same name is featured throughout as sort of a running gag.

>>>Artists should never do that.

Mickey did that at Shoreline in 2009 for "the Dead."   They wanted to go on but too many people were still out partying in the parking lot, so Mickey came out on stage an implored everyone to come on in so they could start the show.

That was a fantastic show!

Make sure you check out the 2020 tour that was eventually canceled do to Covid. This was to support the sound track for Sound and Fury. Sturgill is the only guitarist, full on cowboy nudie suite, in Elvis mode, and he tears it the fuck up.
