Halloween Yard Decor

That's pretty cool.   Fun neighbors.

Here is what we got:

My homeless friend has his crap on / by our front porch, and trust me, that scares the neighbors more than any spooky thing can, lol

Phil Lesh only played a headless black modulus during the year 1988 that I know of

He also wore a lot of tie dyes in 1988

The guitar the "Jerry" skeleton is playing is fairly obviously tiger, which Jerry played primarily in 1988 gigs

bobby played a LOT of guitars, but ones that stick out specifically in 88 was a white Stratocaster and a similar black one 

the drummer guy wearing a Celtics jacket may or may not further inform this possibility, or it may just be a nod to bill Walton 

so I am proposing, for the zone's consideration; that the Halloween display in utahjim's post is of a 1988-era Grateful Dead show, and quite possibly even of a specific place and date...

you should get another skeleton, give it a dreadlock wig and some wook clothing, go stand him up at the end of the driveway, put an empty co2 canister at his feet and give him a big ol' balloon in one of his hands.

 it looks like phil is playing the headless bass at the 87>88 NYE show, and bob and brent's tshirt color does actually match between the halloween display and the show. bob is wearing a seva shirt at the show, but the color matches. phil is in tye dye at the NYE show, but its a pretty different pattern/color scheme. the drummers are both wearing different stuff, but its possible that accuracy was disregarded for the sake of a nod to walton. NYE 87>88 was, iirc, released officially as "ticket to new years", so if there was a specific date intended, it could be NYE 87-88.

this gave me an idea for our halloween costumes:
