Tune in TONIGHT at 7 PM EST for a livestream of the sold-out Soulshine Benefit Concert, featuring Trey as a special guest. Watch the show at https://www.soulshinemsg.com live from Madison Square Garden.
The concert will support recovery efforts in Western North Carolina and Florida following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Net proceeds from the concert will benefit the SOULSHINE Concert Fund at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, supporting Habitat for Humanity’s 2024 Hurricane Recovery Fund and other nonprofits aiding recovery in the affected regions.
That was good. Especially liked Waste. Never watched Nathaniel Radcliff before and was underwhelmed, but was really surprised by how good Dave Matthews was. He has basically been off my radar since my one and only DMB show at a bar in Bozeman Montana before he took off (it was good). Dude is sort of space cadet when he talks, but really enjoyed his set.
Had no idea "Don't Do It' was a Marvin Gaye song. Learn something new every day (saw a smoking version Sunday at the Next Waltz).
>>>>Mavis Staples was there, but didn't sing on The Weght?
Yeah, they brought her out for just one song, which was probably one song too many. She was great back in the day, but was kind of felt bad for her when I saw her last year with Trombone Shorty.
And speaking of the Weight, saw a great version of that at the Next Waltz too. Three outstanding women soul singers trading verses.
