Jimmy's back! WSP ticket alert.

Forums:

Jimmy Herring is back in action and tickets for Widespread Panic's three-night run at the St. Augustine Amphitheater in March go on sale tomorrow morning at 7:00 am PST.   Going to have to bust out the dueling laptops to try and get tickets.   Trey solo acoustic in Orlando the following Wednesday (March 26) go on sale at right the same time (doh!) but hoping they don't sell out in minutes like WSP will.

Thanks for the heads up.  Looking tough to make those dates but wish I could.   Everyone loves that venue

Good to hear that Jimmy's back in the saddle.

Lets fuckin go

Jimmy is 100% back?

At the David Gilmour shows last month I was chatting with someone (who occasionally knows about WSP dealings) and was told Jimmy's health is still a big concern. Personally I find it hard to believe they would book shows for early 2025 should the Jimmy situation not be resolved though.

Got in all three nights of the St. Augustine run.   Pro-tip:  Don't go for the three-day pass.  I logged on dutifully into the waiting room at 6:45 PST for the 3-day pass only to find myself no. 1700 in the queue when the sale began at 7:00 (for a 4,500 seat venue).

Quickly realized that wasn't going to work so switched to the single day tabs and got all three nights in our usually spot.  Helps to have two people working separate laptops plus a phone.  Hope to see some of you freeks there.

Got Trey tickets no problem through the venue's website too.

WSP was a cluster this am, sold out very fast, lucked out with a send back set of tickets for section next to Ken. Now he can snub me from close up.

Got 6 row for Trey in Orlando too.

While surfing the Dr Phillips site I see Kraftwerk tix go on sale next week for the March 19th shoe. Saw them for the first time a few years back and had a blast, my wife confessed to me recently that she fell asleep at that one. Oh well I'll ride solo this time.

but will he be in AC??????????????

^^^^^I would assume so.  Can't see them going out there without him.

Tedeschi-Trucks doesn't have anything scheduled for March and considering they live right up the road from St. Augustine in Jacksonville and Derek's brother is WSP's drummer, hoping for some guest appearances.  At Wilco a couple years ago, Derek showed up and played for like a half-hour with the band.

Lol Tim.  Looking forward to finally getting up with you.

Omg Tim lolol

Excited for your ticket procurements!

Oh to have Jimmy there

Tickets went on sale as my flight from Florida to Memphis to catch a weekend of Billy Strings took off.  I didn't stand a chance to get tickets.  Prices on stubhub are crazy.  What's a guy to do now?  But Billy Strings was freakin amazing!

^^^^Set an alert on Cash or Trade.  If worse comes to worse, you can hear the show great from the woods right outside the venue.  If you are daring, I also know a spot where one person can lift the fence while another slithers on in.   Haven't tried it personally, but looks like it might work with people taking turns lifting and slithering.

We watched the Billy Memphis shows on Nugs.net.  Glad you had a good time.

Still waiting to hear what he does for spring tour.  Saw his St. Augustine 4/20 run last three years but they have some other dude booked for Saturday 4/19 so if Billy plays, he would do Sunday 4/20 and possibly that Monday and Tuesday.  But it looks more and more that he has outgrown the 4,500 seat venue.

thanks Ken.  I tend to agree Billy may have outgrown the Amp.  he filled the stadium in Memphis both nights - full capacity is 19,000 but must be a little less for concerts.  it would be a darn shame if he does not come back

Cashortrade yo!
