Ohio State 2025 National Football Champions

Forums:

OSU won the national championship, first time with the 12 team playoffs. OSU has stellar players, a freshman named Jeremiah Smith who catches everything unless he is triple teamed. Notre Dame had great drives and some tricky plays that worked. The game was within one score in the 4th quarter.

OSU had 2 losses, one to Michigan whom they have not beaten in 4 years. That loss got them focused to become the great team that won it all. I'm so glad that a team can lose a game and still have a chance in the playoffs. The playoff games were exciting; they're doing something right.

Nice music going to commercials - one player is named Sawyer, who had a nice move, so Rush's Tom Sawyer was cued going to commercial. On Saturday night, they played One More Saturday Night, by GD of course. Middle age thrill.

Fireworks and dancing in the streets in Columbus! And of course burning couches, it's not college if you don't burn a couch.

It's weird when you can be the fifth or eighth best team and still somehow end up playing for a championship

does not compute

Personally, I can never get excited about minor league sports, but congratulations to those who care.

Congrats Rose, buckeye fans, and Schwadude wherever you are

and someone needs to tell these analysts, ex coaches, and announcers to stop using the adjective "explosive" as in explosive play, diarrhea owns it, find another word.

go gators!

Michigan embarrassed them and while I will never be a fan of ego-OSU, good on them for showing resilience and bouncing back.  Very impressive response to that loss.

I was more impressed by ND and their coach.

Buckeyes spent huge on players and they got Chip Kelly to leave a heading coaching job at UCLA to become their offensive coordinator, and you know they paid him huge to leave a 10 mil a year position.Essentially, Coach Day brought in another Head Coach due to his inabilities to win the BIG games.

anything else would of been a choke job just like the Michigan game.

I agree that Day should go to the NFL and leave these crazy Buckeyes fans to someone else.

and watch out for ND, they are going to get an upgrade in players wanting to play there for that Coach

Im from Ohio and my wife's family 3 are OSU grads. I am the antagonist in the family, and root against the buckeyes in most situations, like this one. I picked ND to win it once the teams were picked. Close but no cigar

I don't think Day will leave unless they ask him.   He wants so badly to be liked there.  Curious to see what all those fans who were begging him to be fired a few weeks ago think now.

they' ve strung it out too long....

They are pretty much a second league now. We are going to start seeing if we haven't already players staying in college rather than taking a pay cut to go to the NFL.

My proposal which will never happen is for the NFL to take a break the week of Christmas and hand over the next three weeks to college and then come back after the college is done.
