My extended family gathered in New Orleans on MLK Day weekend to celebrate a few birthdays, including mine, and that ended up being my main celebration. New Orleans was nice with temps in the low 70s the first couple of days. It was still in the 50s when I flew back to Seattle the Sunday before MLK/Inaugaration Day. The next day the temps dropped another 20 degrees and it snowed a record 11". I got out just in time. My sister had originally planned to fly back here on that Wednesday, but that got delayed a day.
I did go out to a nice dinner with good friends the night before my actual birthday. My help needed this past Wednesday off to get ready for his band's show that night, so I wound up working a full day solo shift in my store. I spent the day enjoying music, then had some good comfort food and a puff before calling it a night.
