I'm of retirement age, and
I'm of retirement age, and did my official SS interview to start collecting my retirement yesterday. It was definitely a stressful wait, watching the executive orders coming down, and wondering if I could even make it to the finish like.
The person to interview me was suppose to be at their home, per a previous interview... they were in an office (you could hear the background clatter). They also changed my time without asking, well, except asking me "can we do it now, i'm double booked". So my heart goes out to them.
Another friend has been working around the world with water issues for decades. Her world just went silent, fortunately she was back in the states at the time. First time Rump was parasitedent, my neighbor got deported because his teaching contract at Oregon State hadn't been renewed yet (he had 2 weeks, then gone).
So much winning...
