I'll never forget seeing him at that Phil show at the Tower and then the disbelief of hearing of his passing the next day. If memory serves he was wearing a Yankees shirt and we had a brief conversation at the bar. Truly shocking!
I'll never forget what he did for me in NYC ( think it was Furthur MSG), we were all hangin outside of like 3 bars, I went in to one to try to pee...what a mess ! I was swallowed by the crowd...then this BIG beautiful hand reached out to me and said " Fidd, grab my hand " ...I did and he parted the way to safety and returned me to Bob .
I saw that day that this place was more than just gossip on a computer screen...the Big Heart he had and many more chance meetings with him that this space has heart behind the words. He had a smile a mile wide and was the real deal <3

Some great PhilZone times
Some great PhilZone times with the Zappa video and sadly comforting, Phil's mention.
I was at Targhee Bluegrass Fest that year and saw a guy that looked liked Gitmo. Stopped him and took a pic, and told him the story why.
Gitmo lives in my brain in that story that was told about the waitress at a rib joint who asked him if he wanted a full rack or half-rack of ribs.
As I remember it, correct me if I'm wrong, his reply was, "Do I look like a half-rack kind of guy?" I smile whenever I think of that.
Comfort to all y'all who got to hang with him. You eastie Zoners know how to connect and party. It was a joy to watch.

I never met Gitmo, but I don't think I've ever read anything but positive things about him on the black screen. That by itself is notable.

not sure if that was the night. if so, the yankees were crushing philly, much to all of the patrons' horror
Adam was standing there, solemnly, silently shushing me, as to say "this is already bad enough got them"
it amused me then, and now, endlessly
that sweet vision of him will never leave me
cam, it was a surprise to see you
