Tony Trischka or Railroad Earth

Forums:

Haven't been to up on RRE since Andy passed but open to convincing ... Tony is doing an Earl Scruggs set at a tiny music hall and I think I'm more inclined to hit that I think.

I'd probably take the night off and smoke some ribs

Though I suppose if you go to Tony you could hit opening day at Rudy's before the show...

Haha, my buddy Jason's place

i see RRE nearly every year for Horn O' Plenty as its as local a show as possible for me and they bring it - Andy was a big part but they've managed to keep the sound alive.

I think night off might be the way... I've got Yardbirds, Brit Floyd, Martin Barre and Metallica next week and then out of town for one more Dylan show the following week

Looks like RRE has a couple of additions to the band that I'm not familiar with.  Would be intrigued to check them out.

If Tom Hamilton was still joining them, I'd be in but think I'm passing on them... Maybe Trischka but not feeling it yet tbh

The newer members are:

Dave Speranza – Upright and Electric Bass.  Dave has played with Sarah Jarosz, Eddie Barbash, Stephane Wrembel, Jim Campilongo, and more

Matt Slocum – Keys    Matt played with Jimmy Herring, John McLaughlin, Susan Tedeschi, Jorma, Oteil, Allman Brothers and a host of others.  He's a class act.

Mike Robinson – Banjo, Pedal Steel, Acoustic Guitar.  Mike played with Iris Dement, Jeff Austin among others.

I've been a long time fan of RRE and Love the current sound and configuration. They bring it every time!

RRE summer tour coming up w/YMSB,

& Daniel Donato's Cosmic on a few.

Yonder Mountain is a band I am really surprised seems to still be going somewhat hard

Allie was with them for awhile. Is she still?

She quit 3 or 4 years ago, mark. jacob jolliff moved on too

now they have some other other guys
