You and me both, I honestly think the 93-Feb 94 era is some of the best music JGB ever created. I've long maintained that the initial shows with Baldwin in Feb 94 are underrated gems due to the fact that they actually rehearsed for the new guy, a very rare occurrence... the setlist choices were brilliant as well over the 3 day run. 93-94 very underrated and only represented on one release so far
Great run
2/28
Set 1: The Way You Do the Things You Do, Mission in the Rain, You Never Can Tell, Simple Twist of Fate, I Second That Emotion, Like a Road, My Sisters and Brothers, Deal | Set 2: Everybody Needs Somebody to Love, Stop That Train, Waiting for a Miracle, Think, Lay Down Sally, That Lucky Old Sun, Midnight Moonlight
3/1
Set 1: Cats Under the Stars, He Ain't Give You None, Struggling Man, Forever Young, Run for the Roses, The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, Lay Down Sally | Set 2: The Harder They Come, Money Honey, And It Stoned Me, Russian Lullaby, Don't Let Go, Positively 4th Street, Everybody Needs Somebody to Love
3/2
Set 1: How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You), I Shall Be Released, You Never Can Tell, Mississippi Moon, Tore Up Over You, My Sisters and Brothers, Let's Spend the Night Together | Set 2: The Way You Do the Things You Do, Señor (Tales of Yankee Power), Struggling Man, Money Honey, Everybody Needs Somebody to Love, Evangeline, That Lucky Old Sun, Tangled Up in Blue
My favorite Jerry Band is Reconstruction and the 1979 gigs. Also: Jerry Garcia Band 1977 shows, and 1989 shows, but I still will listen to these. I wasn't there, but I know it will be good
This will be a phenomenal release! I had a great time at the shows and wore out a few cassette tapes of the 3/1 show. I still have them on my hard drive, but for me this is the most exciting releases to come from any of "the vaults" in quite some time! Not a lot of SBDS from that era although everything was recorded.
"The fun continues on March 1 with a playful tune-up on Argent’s “Hold Your Head Up,” leading into a punchy “Cats Under the Stars” as the stage curtain rises. "
At the time, it seemed weird to me seeing the Jerry Garcia Band at the Warfield, as I was lucky enough to see them play small clubs, before Jerry got too big for those venues. I always thought of the JGB as a bar band. Another thing I noticed at the time, which has only gotten stronger listening back more than thirty years later, was how much more relaxed and happy Jerry seemed in his bar band than he did with the Grateful Dead in his final years.
I was not around for these '91 shows, but I saw a handful of other Warfield shows in 93 and 94. And I can attest that it was a different vibe, more relaxed, smaller venue compared to GD. And ALL Jerry songs. Yay.
Somebody here, Lance maybe, described JGB Warfield shows like going to church.

Really hope it's some '93 or '94 JGB at the Warfield!
A 3 night run of shows would be just fine.
Although not peak period for the GD, the latter day JGB is some of my favorite.

I saw the Jerry band twice
I saw the Jerry band twice before I saw the Grateful Dead, counter to the normal progression of these things
So I guess my interest has always subconsciously (at least a little bit) favored them in that order
maybe it was the benefit of already knowing the next song is definitely gonna be a Jerry song

Agree with this. Didn't have to worry about all the pressure of the machine. Just there to play some old tunes he liked.
