At 56 years, she is the longest imprisoned female inmate in California. While she has an excellent prison record, she directly participated in a couple of the infamous murders as a delusional 21 year old who had been under Manson's spell for three years at that time.
They let Susan Atkins die of cancer in prison. Leslie Van Houten got paroled. We'll see how this shakes out.

I was surprised when they
I was surprised when they paroled Leslie Van Houten because she was an active participant in the LaBianca murders. That's got to be a source of hope for Patricia Krenwinkel.

I've never been a fan of a
I've never been a fan of a calculating, cold-blooded murderer getting 3 hots and a cot, even if it is for the rest of their life, but that's the system we have. I feel very sorry for the remaining victim's family members who have to deal with probation hearings in these cases. Forgiveness is possible, but forgetting is impossible. Manson or not, she participated. I hope she gets denied.
In other countries, retribution is swift. In the Netflix series Unwell, there is an episode concerning the dangers of ayahuasca. I believe it was in Peru ...( haven't seen this episode in a while)... that a Canadian man who was attending ayahuasca ceremonies and was on psychiatric drugs, which are absolutely not to be mixed with ayahuasca (he was asked if he was taking any and he lied) shot and killed a beloved, elder Maestra in her village. Point blank, and she died on the spot. Six village men threw a net around him soon after, dragged him just outside of the village and strangled him to death.

It's been said forever that Steve McQueen was supposed to be at the Tate house the night of the murders but got sidetracked with booze and a hooker.
Wonder how history would've changed if he'd actually showed up. He regularly packed heat and was a legit badass even if he wasn't carrying a gun. I believe he would've fucked up Tex Watson badly and took a couple of the Manson girls home with him.
