Probably a couple dozen who post with some regularity, but I, for one, consider myself more of an irregular, in the sense of not even or balanced in shape or arrangement.

There are regular/irregular posters, a lot of lurkers, some more. When there's live music going on more people post. You might say there's always live music, which is true, but the music that drew us together in the past still has the power to get us together on the black screen.

I do wish there were more of us here on the regular. And Lager, people like you (are there people like you?) being here make it a much richer experience.

The ticker is still ticking.

It's smaller, a little slower, a little softer, with maybe a bit of a murmur now, but still ticking.

Not nearly as much drama as when the place was young and feisty and virtually no trolling anymore, but as long as there's something to ridicule and complain about (D$C) and something to revere (Billy Strings) the black screen will carry on.

I still drop by once in a while. Loved the new Zappa release "Cheaper than cheap".  Threads like that die pretty quickly, but getting the word out is what's important.  I use to go to the original zone for Taper Robs post so I could listen to shows.  Later on FB provided a lot of that info.  At some points i'd try and supply a link if Rob was gone that evening.  Sadly, I don't have a clue what my name was on the original site, and I was locked out because of that for the last year, LOL.

I've advocated for a Tulsa Chris pardon a couple of times, but admin doesn't seem to want to budge.

Thanks for reaching out , Sweet Judit and all. I'm still here. I've been really enjoying retirement.  I haven't been up too much of anything special. Mostly hanging with grand kids . and just enjoying the slow life.

I haven't had too much online presence lately.  Mostly trolling the Fox news entertainment comments community. Good to be back. 

I never got much of anything worthwhile from Tulsa Chris, except for all the low-hanging fruit he'd serve up that allowed Timmy Hoover to do what he did best. I always thought TC was trying too hard to be a character. Maybe he's developed one by now.

Zippy on the other hand really was a character, and while I never had a desire to meet him I thought he added some legitimate weirdness and color to the Zone. I used to use the line, "I'm not here to think for you baller" with my students, and I still use it occasionally now. I don't know if he coined that, but he's where I got it.

There are many old-school zoners I'd love to see check in now & then, but we're still chuggin' along OK.

pulsing to the beat here in Portland... been busy with life stuff

I have been appreciating coming back here a little bit lately. I wish it were more active, but I still find interesting threads from time to time.
It's also just comforting knowing that love for Phil & Jerry & such are really the binding ingredient to socializing here.
I'm glad that the original PZ was really my first social media, where I cut my teeth.
Facebook blows, but I'm still there a lot. I'm still more able to feel comfortable here, where there's almost nobody I *know* in 3D world.
