Anyone want to have a road trip to Red rocks panic?

Forums:

Considering driving out there because flying is scary anymore and between an airline ticket and a rental car it's a little bit of a wash you know gas and such but still if anyone had a thought of leaving from the East Coast and driving out there

OMG a Zoner tour bus?   I'm in!  Could you imagine? LOL who among us would be the bus driver ?

This run has been on my list... fantastic 4-day camping road trip from Oregon.

You don't really need 4 days but there's a certain route I like to take that includes hot springs.

Flew out to the Rocks for Panic in 96 I think- Funtier Airlines.  SHow was a bit of a snoozer.

I'll drive

Panic has a nice long break between tonight's show and Red Rocks run.

I'll pay for the 3 night stream

Tim let's Goooooooo

I also have an offer to work backstage at High Sierra Music Fest July 1-4, sigh .... if I weren't losing my job on June 30 I'd be able to do both!

Didn't make it to RR this weekend due to being in Jerseyland for a wedding.

The band really put on a great 3 day bonanza.

Night 2 Sharon he he he he

I enjoyed the Running of the Tarps videos this weekend

>>>the Running of the Tarps<<<

I thought they put an end to that.

Yeah it's more like shirts n sweaters now

Tarp saving space for others is ridiculous, I don't see how/why it was ever allowed?
If you have to be with a crew, then all go in together. That's the payoff for waiting in line longer.
Or get seats in those first 5 or 6 reserved rows.
I first experienced tarp-saving at Oakland Coliseum for some Chinese New Year shows.
The floor was covered in tarps and blankets. It seemed more about saving an amount of space, than saving for others who were coming.
I was an East-Coaster, 23 years old, and attending a GA show. I couldn't believe people had the gall to claim square footage as their property, at a GA show.
It just seemed so antithetical to the supposedly chill, loving, sharing, West-coast vibe.
SO I just walked the tarp seams between "properties", till I got where I wanted to be, and stayed there.
Sorry to digress, I just don't understand why any fanbase or venue would tolerate tarping off space.
In JRAD community at least, people create & preserve a modicum of space just by being present, waiting all in line together, and keeping enough people in their area so that folks can leave & return as needed.
I never really care to be in that front area that the same people always occupy, but I see that it gets done without tarps.
I mean, a lawn setting is different, especially back behind the majority populus. But tarping prime real-estate? Pfffft!

so pleased with my decision to hit up local festy for the win instead

and, funny, deadicatedMama, a MAJOR panic fan, chose other bands over panic this weekend as well, and said the setlists were not the best she's seen lol

On our way to Boulder for Phish.
