And blast Neil Diamond's "They Come to America' on the sound systems. Let's not play into the "invasion" narrative and make this about America and American values.
Next weekend will be something for sure. The events in LA have people all riled up. Just hope we can channel some serious MLK and Gandhi vibes for non-violent civil disobedience, but keeping millions of justifiably outraged people to be disciplined is going to be a tall order. Hoping for the best.

Graduation Day for the UW, with No Kings protests expected during the ceremony, as well as a rally/march starting on Capitol Hill at Cal Anderson Park then heading downtown. At the least, traffic will be a mess today. Hope everyone is able to exercise their rights to free speech and peaceful assembly. Stay safe and keep an eye out for provocateurs.

Was the music for Saturday’s military parade in Washington, D.C. covertly programmed by the “No Kings” movement?
That’s the question some were asking on social media after the event, spearheaded by President Donald J. Trump, which featured the repeated playing of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s classic “Fortunate Son” — a song that virtually the entire world knows by now was written during the Vietnam era as a slam against wealthy draft dodgers. The assumption being made by at least a few tweeters was that this had to be some kind of deliberate trolling of the president by someone on the music selection team who just has it in for him. Because if you were going to make a top 10 list of songs that Trump should not want to have played at any of his events — but most of all not at a military-themed ceremony — “Fortunate Son” would certainly be No. 1.
This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight’s game will be played as scheduled.

Dept of Homeland Security used a green gas in Portland Protestors last night at the ICE detention center.
Bring your leaf blowers to today's march to direct the gas back at them.
This tactic was used effectively at the 2020 protests.
