Seriously though, a friend of mine hung out with Bill for a few hours recently and Bill sent him a bunch of cool, signed pictures and other stuff. The guy sounds like a class act.
He is sort of a flake (but that is nothing out of the ordinary in our world) but a super nice and seemingly genuinely friendly guy the few times I have run into him at shows.
Epic -- they just showed a clip from GD 1991 ... and now Mickey has joined the broadcast and is reminiscing about when Larry Bird joined GD at the Garden and Mickey went 1:1 with him on the court before the show. Larry said "This is real basketball, not what Bill Walton plays...." ... and then Mickey went up against Kevin McHale!!
Get this guys: Mickey trains hard like Bobby does: Pilates, weight training and aerobic workouts to prep for tour.
He was also talking about how he and Bill jam on the Beam instrument.
.... and now Mickey is sharing about the time he climbed the GG bridge to play it like a harp w/ a wooden mallet -- police pulled him off the first time.
