I love Moonalice!

Thanks for posting. They sounded great and down to earth.

giants suck

>>>giants suck<<<

What makes it worse this year is that they have lots of talent on this team and they're still playing like a pile of shit.

Everyone who was absolutely certain it was all Gabe Kapler's fault are now heating the tar and collecting the feathers for their previous hero & savior Bob Melvin.

Now all the couch experts are hoping that Bruce Bochy will return, as his Rangers contract is up at the end of this season.

If he's available that's possible and it couldn't hurt, but from my couch I believe Melvin will keep his job but most or all of his staff will get the axe. Which they absolutely should.

GO NINERS!!!!!!!!

Bomel was never my "hero and savior". And he failed in SD with a very good team. Kapler needed to go, but I wanted Steven Vogt.

Bomel continues to baffle me with his absurd lineups and the coaching staff must have taken the yr off.

They all need to go.  Not sure Bochy is the answer either. But this team seems unprepared for every game, every opposing pitcher.

This is a much better team than they are showing.

And the front office needs to make better decisions in the draft. I think Posey did fairly well in what he got for rentals at the deadline. Now we need to resign Tyler in the offseason.

And I am going out on a limb and say we don't need to sign a bunch of free agents in the offseason. A SP for sure. Valdez would look great in Orange and Black. But I think we have the makings of a good team overall and under the right leadership will play well next yr. Schmitt is shaping up to be a very good major leaguer. I wish we could dump chapman and put him at 3rd. Every time chappy starts to get hot, he gets injured and comes back cold as ice.

The distant future looks bright for the Giants. They have done a very good job of signing international talent the last few yrs and have some very good low level prospects. Hope I am still around to see them flourish at SF.

Well Mark, I guess there was a little needle in there, but I was talking more about the "experts" who rail endlessly on the Giants Athletic page and other blogs. I've not been able to completely ween myself from reading that crap, but I'm getting better.

And while Kapler maybe needed to go because he didn't handle the locker room well, I thought his staff were professionals who got more out of less than Melvin's mediocre cast of 'ol ball coaches have done.

I don't know what to say about Melvin, but Pat Burrell & his staff must go. I've never seen an entire team of hitters continuously take hittable pitches and then swing at balls in the dirt a foot off the plate. Coaching hitting is tricky business, but this team-wide bad decision-making and lack of balance at the plate has been happening so often and for so long that it speaks clearly to a consistent lack of preparation, and preparation comes from coaches.

Matt Williams needs the long walk off the short pier as well. He was a good player but he's a bumbling fool as a coach.

As you say Mark, many of the pieces are in place, they just need to be better set up to succeed. And what you said about Chapman is exactly what could have been said about Brandon Belt's entire career, and they won two championships with him. Chapman is a good player and a good leader but he's always been streaky and he shouldn't be relied on to be the team's best hitter, but with the talent they now have and with better management he could fit easily into a winning lineup.

Anyway, apologies for hijacking this Moonalice thread.

(But at least we started talking about the major leagues)

Ba-dum CHING!
