Charlie Kirk shot in Utah

Forums:

Video I just saw looks like a head shot yikes

More like the neck from the videos on the Twitter video I saw.   No reason to shoot the asshole because shooting people is bad and he will probably just become some sort of martyr if he died.

Thoughts and prayers.

tots and pears

Concepts of prayers....

shooting people isn't the answer... suspect in custody

BURN THE PALACE DOWN

I watched a video.  Wish I didn't.  I don't see how he survives it.  This is fucked up.

more guns will make us safer

Key Quotes by Charlie Kirk on Guns

On Gun Deaths and the Second Amendment

"I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."

On the Price of an Armed Citizenry

"Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty."

On Comparisons to Other Risks

"Driving comes with a price—50,000 people die on the road every year. That's a price. You get rid of driving, you'd have 50,000 less auto fatalities."

On the Reality of Gun Violence

"You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won't have a single gun death. That is nonsense."

Now hearing suspect NOT in custody?

And kirks dead...

No thoughts - No prayers

he advocated for this

hes dead and prayers dont stop bullets

This has got some folks really riled up.  Now they have their martyr.

So when are they going to release the rest of the Epstein files?

How long until they blame South Park?

I guess the National Guard will be along to Utah promptly.

trumpers AND democrats scolding me on fb for not being sad about this is cracking me up.

>>>>How long until they blame South Park?

The guy was a master debater.

Haven't watched the video (seen enough neck traumas during my hospital tenure).  Watched FB explode with the right wingers either giving their blessings, or wanting Civil War (and more lies about transgender people doing all the mass shootings).  The left doing the "violence is wrong" or "thoughts and prayers" routine....

So I'll share a different opinion from the masses, a younger musician friend penned this;

<<
Yeah man we know violence is violence is bad- but that doesn’t apply to Nazis. Fuck that guy and everyone like him. How many people have been killed as a direct result of his career? How many times has the guy riled up sentiments of hatred towards countless people in this country? How many times has he been very clear that this type of violence is “worth it” when it’s happening to others, so long as he and his get to keep being racist, homophobic, misogynistic, white nationalist, assholes with zero sympathy for anyone else? I don’t care that he landed at the other end of the of an equation he has so wholeheartedly supported when it’s men like himself on the other end of the gun. Fuck him. That’s the fuckin you get for the fuckin you got. Thoughts and prayers asshole.
>>

glad i don't really know who this is.

Same for me, Turtle. I did hear today that he's a parent of a young child or children and I have feelings for them. I know, I've heard he's anti-empathy, but that was his trip, not mine. I'm sad for his family.

And high school kids in Evergreen, CO shot today.

Melt the guns!

^ Informative quotes El Nino.

Word was he was answering a question about his advocating banning trans people from owning guns. This MAGAT interviewed on the news, who was 15 feet away, suggested the guy who asked the question should be found and questioned- as if it was a set up. Yeah, from 200 yards away.

Not into violence, and though I didn't care much for his politics, he engaged with people discussing the issues. I give him credit for that. We need that. Just finished a book by Loretta J. Ross called "Calling In - How To Start Making Change With Those You'd Rather Cancel." Don't call people out. Call 'em in, and show some love. Good stuff. We all need to do better if we wanna save this country.

Vigil tonight in the state capitol rotunda at 7:00. That was quick.

" I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately , some gun deaths every single year ... "

Did someone prove him right or wrong

I never heard this name before.  Of course I don't watch Fox News Entertainment.

he engaged with people discussing the issues.

The "your body, my choice" guy?

Remember the talk show trend when every host on TV was inviting the metzgers to advertise their nazism recruitment drive for free on national tv? I wonder if their movement ever got off the ground.

He also said the person who broke into Nancy Pelosi's house and smashed her husband's head in with a hammer was an "American Patriot" and that his supporters should bail him out of jail.

I Know Nothing About Him So No RIP

On Fox News they are saying. "Whether we want to accept it or not, they are at war with us. And what are we going to do about it? How much political violence are we going to tolerate?

At this moment we have no fucking idea who shot Charlie Kirk - could be he fucked some guys wife. Could be a pissed off Q Anon guy who was upset that Kirk did a 180 on the Epstein files. We don't know.

Also Trump said that they will fly the flags at half mast in honor of Kirk. He wouldn't even call the Governor of Minnesota after two Dem politicians were assassinated a few months ago by a right wing MAGA extremist and no flags were flown at half mast.

Fox News is right they are at war with us.

I can only imagine that whoever changes Trump's diapers had a very busy day today.

Reading  now Sounds Like A MAGA POS !

Probably some straight guy he met on grindr

So can you call a Nazi a Nazi anymore?

The Oval Office address was creepy as all fuck.

As of 11:34PM PST, the BBC reports that the manhunt continue

I find it interesting that the shooter is not yet in custody.

... and those interviewed are branding it as a "political assassination."

Press conference this morning. FBI say they found a bolt action rifle in some nearby woods and they have video of the suspect entering campus, going onto the roof, and escaping off the roof. They think they may be able to identify the suspect from those videos. Not releasing any names or pics just yet.

No word yet on if ICE troops will be sent to Orem, Utah to clean up crime.

On further reflection Dise, I see where his discussions and "debate" might've been more like opportunities to ridicule and deflect. Never watched one of his discussions, but his answers regarding trans mass shooters and mass shootings in general yesterday before he was shot seemed to me to be full of pompous snark causing the crowd to laugh. And he was only on his second question.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if it turned out to be Trumpian set-up to justify some fascistic actions in the near future.

While I am totally against political violence!!!! I find it interesting how MAGA is applauding killing people without a trial when it's folks in a boat off the coast of Venezuela, innocent black civilians shot by cops, sending people to gulags without a trial, the death starving and forced removal of millions in Palestine, the beating of police with flagpoles , etc etc but they are totally outraged when it happens to one of them???

Photos of the suspect show a college age male. Slipped away in the chaos like John Wilkes Booth. and probably faces a similar fate.

^^^^ Given the name, it has to be about skin color

Am I bad, not missing Charlie yet?

I really feel terrible for his kids however.

I knew more about him than I thought I did. Scary human being.

I feel for his kids and wife.

Melt the guns.

IMG_2328.jpeg

As big of an event this is , I am asking myself why I have never heard of this cat.

His target audience was new college kids.

Charlie Kirk said if his 9 y/o daughter was r2ped and conceived that he'd force her to carry to term. I feel terrible for his kids because his wife is as fucked up as he is

"grilled cheese samwhiches 1 for $3 2 for $5"

>>> Charlie Kirk said if his 9 y/o daughter was r2ped and conceived that he'd force her to carry to term. I feel terrible for his kids because his wife is as fucked up as he is  <<<

IMG_3852.jpeg

Dise , in my opinion everything I read about this cat is kind of vial bullshit coming out of his mouth , great debater non- violent civil discourse or not. He's being treated like a head of state.

Get Mouthy ( Risk ) it might not end well.

Seems like this could all be a false flag to ignite a civil war and allow the regime to crack down on free speech and political opponents.

Kirk was adamant about releasing the Epstein files, they had reason to silence him too and create a Martyr.

The best move would be for us all to show up to the vigils and convince the MAGA that we support Kirk's wishes to release the files and support them in their grief. It's a long shot..

his kids are now set for life

lastly, as someone who is freaked out so badly by guns as i work out in the public

i watched that video over and over

and over

something inside me is like biting on tinfoil anymore

The timing of his sentence and the shot..

FAM turned him in...he was punked by his family

I'm not a fan of vigilanteism and people playing judge, jury and executioner. It's fucked up in a million ways.

The people who kill "abortion doctors" with the excuse that it saves lives are no different than people who kill CEO's and political activists, also saying it saves lives. To repeat, they are exactly the same, using exactly the same justifications. They should all rot in jail. I don't understand how so-called liberals cheer this shit on.

I think some might mistake my ambivalence toward it as " support"' I don't support it but this is where we are at.... I just wish those truly appalled by this felt the same way about our children dying at school almost every day

What is obvious is that hatred reaps hatred.

Tyler Robinson said Charlie Kirk was full of hate.

Charlie Kirk was against the concept of non-violence.

They both reaped what they sowed.

>>> This has got some folks really riled up.  Now they have their martyr.

As Stephen Miller would have it, sacrifice an up-and-coming ideologue for the greater cause. "We must crack down on these left-wing radicals".

>>>>mistake my ambivalence toward it as " support"

That is what we are seeing and its really disturbing.  Pete Hegeseth says he will track down and punish any service member who "celebrates or mocks" the assassination after a military officer complained about lowering the flag to half staff to honor a racist and misogynist podcaster.   The forced lionization of this asshole by the federal government and punishment for anyone who disagrees is chilling.

And it turns out the perp grew up in a conservative Mormon household.

Also Interesting how a nonpolitician was quickly labeled a political assassination by GOP, while they refused to label the Minnesota democrats as such

Yeah, they've politicized political assassinations. It's pretty fucked up.

IMO while the assassination shouldnt be supported or celebrated, there is an additional confounding factor in this specific assassination that i think opens up kirk to some pretty deserved post mortem criticism and mockery. the dude literally said that his own murder was "acceptable" in service of the second amendment. that is kirk's own words. death by gun violence is acceptable to achieve or preserve his political goals. if kirk himself really thought it was so acceptable then i dont see why its somehow beyond the pale for the general public to not really feel bad for the dude or make jokes about it. he literally told us to not feel bad about it.

thinking that kirk's death is acceptable in the furtherance of yours, or someones political goals is exactly what he preached. now all of a sudden when shit gets real im supposed to be torn up over it? lol

Going back home shows he didn't care about being caught.   He wasn't too far from the border.  At least early on in the investigation they must have not yet determined what type of vehicle he was in, as he got a couple of hours drive away.

I could not care less about Charlie Kirk. I do care about how easy it has become to justify murder. I'm also worried that vigilantism will become normalized.

If you read this you are gay.

thinking that kirk's death is acceptable in the furtherance of yours, or someones political goals is exactly what he preached. now all of a sudden when shit gets real im supposed to be torn up over it? lol

well, I doubt he thought it would be HIS death

The shooter was raised with God, Guns and Guts. Recipe for creating a murderous MAGA Incel.

Apparently ck was assassinated because he wasn't far-right enough

our maga mayor is lowering the flag. what a kook.

i guess hate speech is a national service....

I mean, he's basically the MLK of the alt-right

There sure is a lot of bowing down to false idols going on in the world at the moment...

The Last Person to Debate Charlie Kirk (Exclusive Interview)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18FNK6ZNGuo

Groypers - learn something new every day.  Saw the term being used in various Twitter posts and looked it.

Apparently, there is a viscous schism in the far right on line community between the Pro-Israel crowd and the hard core antisemitic faction, the later being known as Groypers after the Pepe the frog meme.  Those folks apparently hate Kirk more than anybody for his support of Israel.

The best move would be for us all to show up to the vigils and convince the MAGA that we support Kirk's wishes to release the files and support them in their grief. It's a long shot..<<<

Right. Fantastic post.

Probably asking to much to get them on board with sensible gun control legislation to prevent the next MAGA Incel from committing gun violence?

funniest comment I read was that Kirk was killed by friendly fire.

Hunter said it best. "If you plant ice, you're going to harvest wind."

What a disgrace of a country the USA  has become.

I hope and pray when Scump finishes the White House ballroom the final touch is a sign on the door that says "Evil Lives Here"

val.jpg

Wife Erika Kirk IS A TOTAL NUT JOB.

eriKa KirK

Angry, power hungry white men in the U.S.  Highly problematic since 1492.

Probably asking to much to get them on board with sensible gun control legislation to prevent the next MAGA Incel from committing gun violence?

def not this time around. most proposed reasonable gun legislation wouldnt have stopped this. was done by a common hunting rifle by someone who seemingly had decent shooting experience, no criminal/mental health record,  lives with/is the son of an ex-LEO, took his shot from a somewhat hidden area outside of the official event zone, and didnt take advantage of any kind of open carry or pro-gun regulation to "hide" his gun in plain sight.

although i do support expanding gun control, its not really one of my primary issues im most passionate about, so maybe there is some proposed legislation/regulations  that would have effected this guy and  saved kirk, but from what i know about the proposed regulations that even have the slightest chance of being enacted, none of them would have really touched this dude and on paper he seems like a model gun owner under common sense gun control laws. no record, has training/experience, bolt action hunting rifle.

charlie's death is important and striking in the conversation around gun control because of his past statement on the acceptability of gun deaths in service of the second amendment, but ultimately the gun control that would have been needed to prevent his death would be far beyond realistic and not something even many democrats would support.

in a way, kirk's statements about some amount of gun deaths being acceptable in service of the second amendment isnt wrong, and its a concept that society applies to a ton of stuff thats totally uncontroversial - cars, knives, unhealthy food, alcohol, etc etc etc. unless your actual goal is a society/country with ZERO guns, there is probably going to be some amount of deaths from guns. a society with absolutely zero guns might be a nice dream, but as long as we are dreaming, that's about as realistic as a society with guns, but where everyone is magically perfectly responsible with them and everyone loves each other and gets along so there are no accidental gun deaths or murders ever.

I wonder which Dead & Co. version of "He's Gone" Tucker Carlson is grieving to?

Fan or not a fan, IMO, no one should be killed for their thoughts or beliefs  You can disagree with it, and many did, but he also allowed those to discuss it openly with him. Not many were willing to do that.

The other issues from both sides, is taking so called quotes, and just printing what that side wants you to hear.  And again, its both sides.

Here is the full quote from Charlie Kirk on empathy.  I think it makes a difference posting all of a quote.

"I cant stand the word empathy, I think empathy is a made up new age term and it does a lot of damage. Sympathy is a better word because empathy means you are actually feeling what another person felt and no one can feel what another person feels."

Thats the full version.  I think the snippet used by the media dosent show exactly what he was getting across.  You can differ with me, thats fine.  But too many times quotes are taken out of content.  I feel horrible a wife, and two very young kids are left without a husband and father. I wouldn't wish that on any one.

^ is this fair and balanced enough for you

His full comment, as transcribed from the broadcast, is:

"Bill Clinton in the 1990s, it was all about empathy and sympathy. I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that—it does a lot of damage. But, it is very effective when it comes to politics. Sympathy, I prefer more than empathy. That's a separate topic for a different time".

He made the comment during an episode of his radio show, The Charlie Kirk Show, on October 12, 2022. Kirk further explained his view on empathy in the same episode and on social media that day.

Full context of the quote
Kirk stated a preference for the word "sympathy" over "empathy". He also suggested that his opposition to empathy was related to its effectiveness as a political tool. On the same day, Kirk tweeted that those who emphasize empathy often lack it for specific groups, such as soldiers discharged for not getting vaccinated, children harmed by medical procedures, or those affected by fentanyl. He ended his tweet by criticizing what he called "fake outrage," "fake science," and "fake moral superiority".

now, it's turning pointers vs groypers

Fan or not a fan, IMO, no one should be killed for their thoughts or beliefs

No one on the left killed him for his sick nazi beliefs. A groyper right wing extremist killed him for not being a bigger nazi. No amount of hand wringing and deflection will change that. The left didn't wish him to death or some shit. He constantly courted and platformed hate and was felled by a monster he helped create. Stop trying to polish that turd.

dise, the shooter wasnt republican first off.  he was a democratic socialist, and belonged to a socialist democratic group.  kirk was far from a nazi as well, thats just the shit you say when you have no argument. he did not fuel hate, and he openly had debates with others, hearing their sides as they heard his.  again, his beliefs were his and he should not have been killed over them.  its as easy as saying someone may not like your thoughts or beliefs, so they kill you.  not only is that insane, it continues the bullshit being put out there.

Tod, he has said many versions of what he feels is the difference between empathy and sympathy.  What i was saying is that when quoting someone, use the whole quote. pretty simple.  again both sides use what they need to get their point across, and it dosent shed light on the person.

>>> ...most proposed reasonable gun legislation wouldn't have stopped this...

True, logical.  But, doesn't take away from the irony of a gun advocate being murdered by a gun.  Oh, wait.  Right wing leaders have shown again and again their blindness to irony.  Comes from being habitual hypocrites.

Davesnothere, true, if you want to get a gun, nowadays its pretty easy. Some cities, such as Chicago, have some of the toughest gun laws in the country. But who abides by them? The citizens or the criminals. Fair question.  There are still huge amounts of gun killing in that city with those laws. Hypocrites  on both sides. A trans kills school kids, a 14 time arrested criminal kills a Ukrainian girl on a train, media dosent mention it for weeks.

was it fucked up he died by a gun, absolutely, but what is more fucked up, is he was killed over speech, because someone didnt agree with what he said. Can you imagine the death count if everyone just took it upon themselves to shoot anyone they dont agree with or like what they say.  i dont think there would be many left. This hate is fueled by both sides, two presidents saying things that gets people fucking pissed. When Biden said that half the nation were terrorists, it sent a shock wave to those he was talking about.  dont get me wrong, trump says shit too, that dosent strike well with people. The bigger issue is not to go out and kill someone over it, or praise the ones doing the killing.  You need discussion

There's one in every crowd.

dude, he wasn't a democrat.

clean your wooden pipe out.

jesus christ.

>>>> he was a democratic socialist

No and you should look at where you are getting your news. He is registered as an unaffiliated voter.

https://apnews.com/article/charlie-kirk-shooter-search-utah-governor-21b...

He was

- White - Straight - Male - Christian - Raised Republican - Conservative background - 2nd Amendment supporter - experienced firearms user - a good son - 22 years old - outside of the murder, law abiding.

His roommate and possibly partner is a male-to-female transitioning person, so "straight" may not be accurate.

That's been debunked^

The governor of Utah described the roomate that way, and also said Tyler "wasn't cooperating" and their information about him was second hand.  If he's not talking, who's to say?

Doesn't change that it's been debunked.

A little perspective;

<<Craig Cree Hardegree

September 12 at 11:08 PM ·

In the past few decades, most political martyrs in America who were assassinated for their beliefs or the views they expressed, were Democrats or civil-rights leaders or people who espoused liberal ideology: President John F. Kennedy (1963); Medgar Evers (1963); Malcomb X (1965); Senator Robert F. Kennedy (1968); Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1968); liberal talk-radio commentator Alan Berg (1984); abortion provider Dr. George Tiller (2009); State Senator Clementa Pinckney (2015); former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman (2025).

And most of their killers have been motivated by conservative ideology.

A deceptive lie is emerging from Trump and the right claiming Democrats are the killers and Republicans are the victims.

But the opposite is true.

Charlie Kirk is the FIRST high-profile Republican in modern times to be gunned down because of his political beliefs.

And it wasn’t at the hands of a Democrat. Or a trans person. Or a gay person. Or a black person.

Charlie Kirk was killed by the demographic that commits most mass shootings and political assassinations in this country — a straight white male.

Kirk’s killer, Tyler Robinson, comes from a conservative Christian family steeped in gun culture. His mother often publicly posted photos on Facebook of herself and her three sons brandishing assault rifles. Both his mother and his father are registered Republicans. His grandmother, Debbie Robinson, told the Daily Mail that he was brought up in a "staunch Republican and Trump-loving family." In 2018 he dressed for Halloween as Pepe the Frog, a symbol appropriated by the alt-right white supremacist movement and designated as a hate symbol by the Anti-Defamation League in 2016.

Right-wing queen-of-mean Laura Loomer recently (in July) viciously attacked Charlie Kirk after he called for the Epstein files to be released and criticized Trump’s military actions. Loomer called Kirk a “charlatan” and a “political opportunist” and someone who “stabs Trump in the back.” She said he had “betrayed” the president.

Alt-right white supremacist Nick Fuentes encouraged his fans to troll and attack Charlie Kirk for being “insufficiently committed to nationalism” and being a “fake conservative.” Kirk had a deep friendship and often collaborated with a gay black man, Rob Smith, an Iraq War combat veteran. Fuentes specifically sent his fans to events co-hosted by Charlie Kirk and Rob Smith to ask degrading questions like, “How does anal sex help us win the culture war?”

It has been widely reported on social media that Tyler Robinson followed Loomer and “admired” Fuentes.

This whole thing could be “right on right” crime — Tyler Robinson may have killed Charlie Kirk for not being conservative enough; Robinson may have believed he was doing the bidding of ultra conservatives Loomer and Fuentes when he took out Kirk.

And yes, if you count the incident in Butler Pennsylvania, there was an attempted assassination on Trump last summer. But his shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was a registered Republican and FBI deputy director Paul Abbate described Crooks's activity on social networking platforms as antisemitic and anti-immigrant — right-wing positions.

Even in the extremely rare case when Republicans are victims of political violence, the perpetrators are often still conservative — political violence in this country comes almost exclusively from the right... 1,200 conservatives were convicted in connection with the violence of January 6 and not a single Democrat was among them.

One glaring exception is the non-fatal shooting of Republican Congressman Steve Scalise by a Bernie Sanders supporter in 2017. Bernie immediately took to the Senate floor and publicly denounced the shooter and his actions. This was a rare instance of a politically-motivated shooting being carried out by someone on the left against a Republican target.

Another exception is the attempted assassination of Gerald Ford by a leftist activist who wanted to spark a revolution — she was upset about the Vietnam War.

A second attempt on Ford was made by Sqeaky Fromme, a Charles Manson cult follower, who was trying to draw attention to the destruction of California's redwood forests — she didn't target Ford for his political beliefs.

There also was an assassination attempt on Reagan but it was not politically motivated or rooted in political ideology — the shooter was attempting to gain the affection of Jodie Foster with whom he was obsessed.

The same is true of the would-be assassin who shot Alabama Governor George Wallace as he was campaigning for president in 1972. While Wallace was officially a New Deal Democrat, his virulent segregationist beliefs put him more on the right-wing side of the political spectrum. But he wasn't shot for his political beliefs and the shooter's motivation was tied to a desire to gain national attention rather than being rooted in political ideology.

Another lie emerging from Trump and the right is the blatantly false statement that transgendered people are more likely to commit mass shootings.

According to Fox News there have been seven mass shootings that were carried out by trans shooters.

But according to PolitiFact, from 2018 to 2025, there were 4,147 mass shootings, based on Gun Violence Archive data which defines mass shooting as at least 4 people being shot, not including the shooter.

This means there were 4,140 mass shooters who were NOT trans and only 7 shooters who were trans.

Seven out of 4,147 is .17%. That’s not “seventeen percent.” It’s “POINT seventeen percent” or 17% of 1%. Said another way, out of every 10,000 shooters, only 17 would be trans and the other 9,983 shooters would not be trans.

Seven trans shooters in 8 years works out to one trans shooting every 417 days. As I have previously demonstrated in my writings, preachers commit sex crimes against children at an average rate of one a day — the same time-frame that would yield ONE trans shooting, would also yield 417 preachers exposed for committing sex crimes against children.

Yet, society is still reluctant to draw a connection between being a preacher and a predator, even as some on the right are discussing whether there is a “pattern” of violence involving transgender individuals.

Oklahoma City bombing should be remembered the same way 9/11 is, but I bet you couldn't even get a majority of Americans today to accurately describe what the right wing baby killers did that day.

Man, so many things and people are fucked up (according to me).

I don't understand this: "some of the toughest gun laws in the country. But who abides by them? The citizens or the criminals." Rich, what does that mean? Are you saying that citizens aren't criminals or the criminals aren't citizens? Get real. They're all people, and I think the criminals are often citizens and the citizens are often criminals.

We are suffering from the influence of people like the pres who want us to believe that his party and friends are innocent while anyone or everyone else is guilty, setting up a war of gun-fraught philosophy.

MELT the GUNS, make sculptures.

GotJorma TAKE A HIKE       CK Was A BOZO.

I'm still slightly confused as to why I never heard of him. Shit , not a deep dweller I guess.  Just seems crazy.

Bozo maybe but telling Gotjorms to take a hike is exactly what we are against, no?

the difference between murder and assassination

Murder is the unlawful killing of any person with intent, while assassination is a specific type of murder targeting a prominent public figure for political or ideological reasons, aiming to make a statement or advance a cause.

kirk's murder was a meme shitpost killing

IMG_3856.jpeg

IMG_3857.jpeg

From NPR's lead story this morning;

Cox also said that Robinson was living with a roommate who was a "romantic partner" and that that person was a "male transitioning to female." On CNN's State of the Union, Cox said the roommate has been "incredibly cooperative, had no idea that this was happening, and is working with investigators right now." Investigators are trying to figure out if that relationship had any impact on the shooter's motive, Cox added.

Not seeing where this is being "debunked".   What's the source for that claim?

Wow maybe he was!  Earlier reports said he was a gamer and into the furrie thing, and just a friend who went to Tyler's dad and said he was going to turn Tyler in if pops didn't. It's clear the roommate didn't plan or execute the murder, Interesting that right wingers want to implicate him, as if it's his fault Tyler went out to kill CK.

Tyler Robinson didn't kill himself

The right-wing is playing up the transgender angle.  The irony is that was the point being debated when CK was shot as shown in the clip Daylight posted with the person who was speaking with  Charlie when he was shot.

The statistics show something around 7 of 10,000 mass shooting incidents in the U.S last year were committed by people identifying as transgender, so it's not some actual trend.  Just more exploitation of a marginalized community.

Actually Charlie had moved on from the transgender blaming to gang violence wrt mass shootings when he was shot. His last two words were in fact "Gang violence?"

Speaking of marginalized community, a fox news anchor said homeless people should be subject to "involuntary lethal injections" on 9/13 and it appears that the murder is bad people have declined to be outraged

Yes, he asked the guy debating him who had offered the statistics on transgender mass shootings if those statistics included gang-related incidents.  The guy debating him exasperatedly replies "Great" (as in questioning what relevance that is) at the moment the shot is fired.

unclear if the marginalized community dise is referring to is homeless people or fox news anchors

The homeless, the mentally ill, the drug addicted. All at risk and already being swept under the rug and underserviced.  If the PTB can't profit off these communities, a "final solution" feeds their cynical greed.

what does his roomate's or his sexuality have to do with anything?

oh, that's right., nothing....just lobbing that in there to stoke more hate.

It goes to a possible motive.  That the shooter was angered by CK's attacks on the trans community.

Turts, Gov. Cox is desperately trying to deflect away from the shooter being a rw groyper.

groypers and trans genders

doesn't jive

let alone live together

1 unnamed source in kash patel's fbi

fuckin' maga governor

and hand cuffed billionaire ceo's of the mainstream media

firing anyone who goes off script

and you got the narrative they're selling

fbi didnt catch him

he turned himself in

Agree they want civil war bad. I don't trust the rw governor who lamented on camera that he was sad it was "one of us" and not a liberal.

Tyler's mom posted pictures of Tyler wearing a halloween trump costume that had a groyper head on it, along with many pictures of him as a kid holding firearms. They went from Tyler living with his conservative parents, to him having a landlord now roommate being trans to them being in a relationship.

If Russ Meyer and Roger Corman were still around, they'd make an exploitation film about it called The Tranny Killers or something similar.

Spot ON Turtle ! yes

In the current environment I think it’s fair to say there’s really no reason to believe anything we’re hearing from federal law enforcement, either formally or on background to reporters.

The top executive positions at the FBI are held by hyper-partisan podcasters. Credible reports say roughly a third of the senior career leadership has been purged. Certainly the people who remain are either politically aligned with the administration or know that any straying from the company line means immediate termination. So again, things they say could be true. There’s simply no reason to assume that or even believe it’s more likely to be true than not.

In this post however I want to focus on how extremely little we actually know.

Almost everything that is currently being treated as fact comes from the Governor of Utah, Spencer Cox. He’s earned some credibility for departing from the MAGA line of demanding vengeance against Democrats. But he’s not in charge of the FBI or even local law enforcement, which is the other primary investigative agency. I don’t know how robust a state police authority they have in Utah. But there’s really no logic to Cox being the primary source of information. All the information about left-wing ideology and Tyler Robinson’s roommate allegedly being a romantic partner and transitioning comes from him.

Most of these claims come with no specific evidence. Investigators are always going to be reluctant to share much at this stage of the investigation. But normally we’d be getting a lot more information both formally and in background briefings. Today Kash Patel announced that the FBI has physical evidence tying Robinson to the shooting and a note taking responsibility for it, which they’ve reconstructed. (It was apparently torn up.) But that’s kind of irrelevant. I don’t think anybody seriously questions that Robinson killed Kirk. The public questions are about why he did it, what his motivations were.

If you’re uncertain about what I’m saying, go look at any recent write-up of the story as of early Monday evening. Basically everything is from Cox or law enforcement sources speaking to right-wing publications. Bear in mind that they have complete access to his apparently cooperative MAGA family, the roommate (whatever the story there is) and seemingly Robinson’s fairly extensive online activities. So they should actually know quite a lot about what he was thinking and doing and saying in the lead up to this murder, and probably going back a few years.

My best guess is that Robinson’s story doesn’t line up with the one the White House wants to tell and that’s why so little information is coming out. What we’re hearing from Cox is probably wrenching the story in as favorable a direction as possible. That’s my assumption. It could be wrong. Who knows? What’s not an assumption is how little we appear to know and how vague those quasi-public statements actually are. Even if you accept the administration’s version of what happened here, an uncritical acceptance of Cox’s basic storyline, it’s remarkable just how little it’s based on. He speaks very generally. No documents are referenced, no quotes. There’s much more of a blackout on information than press accounts would suggest.

I'm in DC doing some advocacy and was just in one of the House office buildings. Shit like this is ubiquitous, outside the offices of pretty much every southern representative. It fits this thread. Interestingly, I haven't seen it in the Senate office buildings.

This is a great explanation of black pill and Groyper culture. What I haven't seen anyone report on is what is being said in that world since it happened.

It was an excellent use of shibboleth.

I'm not going to lie, I had to google what shibboleth was

My daughter was just explaining the theory that the dude is a far right incel and his roomie isn't trans, but rather transmaxxing. What is that, you ask? https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/transmaxxing/

Jesus...

who let got jorma in?

i swear people in the hardware store were looking a me like I did it

the texts the fbyii released look more like Kash Patel tried to write homophobe fanfiction than real evidence
