Didn't realize Jesse Wells and Steve Earl were on the bill. Totally SWEET !

Thanks for schedule Fish!

Yeh, thanks for the headsup!

Looks like they're running this thing with stopwatch precision.

Jesse Welles has been on my Insta gram since he started out. What a great songwriter and wordsmith the kid is. he puts out songs by the hour it seems. A great voice for these times we are in

The best webcast there is. Year after year.

It's 2025 and we get to see Mr Bob Dylan, Mr Neil Young and Mr Willie Nelson back to back to back. Incredible.

Support your local farmers.

Steve Earle did two songs and said he'll be back later "after Nathaniel and them"

Looking for Sierra Ferrell possibly sitting in with Nathaniel Rateleff and Lukas Nelson

(((((Billy Strings at 5:22 EST))))

Sierra canceled a gig to appear no? Would love to see all 3 of them together

The love for American farmers is real. NFA!

Yes fishcane, Sierra was scheduled *I think* to perform at IBMA but Lukas Nelson asked her to perform at Farm Aid last minute (presumably to sit in with his band) she dropped an apology promising to make it up to fans and runoft with him. I can't imagine anyone being mad that her replacement is Gillian Welch except for a few diehard fans

She might sit in with Billy too, they've done it before

Lukas onstage with DM doing The Maker. I prefer Jerry's version, but it's nice to see it anyhow

Not a dave fan but gotta admit this is really nice

Here she comes!!!

Unknown Legend nice! What's Neil gonna do about it. lol

Beyond lovely.

I really wish Sierra had a set too, this is cool!

Billy's next!

That was really beautiful. Sierra was deep in the zone.

> She might sit in with Billy too, they've done it before

iirc, Billy sat in wth her at the Hollywood Bowl Outlaw Fest back in May.

Dang I missed the Outlaw sit in! He sat in with Sierra and vs/vs in Montana last year. They did One Loaf of Bread, Letter Edged in Black, Bells of Every Chapel and Don't Let Your Deal Go Down (not the GD version, trad)

Billy is also on her album doing guitar stuff on Bells of Every Chapel.

They've also played the same festival a few times and not sat in on one another's set

Tonight on PBS, Recorded Live at the Analog, an hour of Sierra Ferrell.  9pm CST.

I will be watching that 100% I just subscribed to PBS Passport to replace the hulu sub I canceled. Thanks Judit!

Here comes Billy!

Sierra Ferrel really belted it out with Lukas. Did not Know she had that strong of a voice.

Going back, never heard of Madeline Edwards but damn can she sing! Was a shame no-one was there yet.

You should listen to more live Sierra Ferrell, Mark. Her voice could knock over a semi truck when the song calls for it

Sierra Farrell knocks me over, I'm almost a sturdy as a semi.
I've been with PBS Passport for many happy years, too; I love being able to watch such a variety of great things.

Mire in a stadium

band is smoking

They come so close to getting me to like bluegrass. So close.

Become a station member and stream even more exclusive shows and local programs with PBS Passport from your Smart TV or mobile device--all on the PBS app.

Does this work on a desktop too? I don't stream on my phone or my TV.

New Country Blues

Mark I think you can still use the app on a laptop. I'm actually working on setting that up right now so I'll let you know!

I like New Country Blues as a name for a genre. What doesn't work for me is banjo and mando.

Mark, I think I used to, I mostly use Passport on my iPad.

I got a late start so I am going back and catching some of the earlier stuff.  Jesse Welles is now heavily on my radar.

OK Mark, all you need to do is sign up, subscribe $5 a month for PBS Passport, and just watch on the PBS site. Happy to report after testing it that passport works fine on my laptop when I'm logged in. Couldn't find the listing for Sierra Ferrell Live at Analog on KQED, but I can watch it on-demand whenever I want to (I used it to test passport just now MOF) here's the link. It should work fine if you get/have a passport subscription.  https://www.pbs.org/video/sierra-ferrell-rzi7ha/

Thanks Dise. That will be the first and only streaming site that I pay for.

Waxahatchee is pretty good too. She reminds me of the Waifs.

^  I subscribe to PBS documentaries for 5/mo streaming, and i watch it a lot. Great for the wintertime.

Where are all the patrons?

They're in a stadium but it's like 90% empty

You bet, Mark. Technically it's considered a donation to boot! Trump cut funding to PBS and NPR, both which are on passport. They desperately need the support now

Waxahatchee is fantastic

When the funding was cut I upped my donation from $5 to $6. It was the most I could do, and the least I could do, too.

Hope Steve Earle is OK.

> Dang I missed the Outlaw sit in!

My bad, Dise. It was Sierra Hull who sat in with Billy on MMATC at the Bowl this year.

I like her too!

I went through the PBS Passport programs adding stuff to my watch list last night and I'm kicking myself that I didn't do passport sooner. A plethora of high quality live music programs, but i love the docs, Masterpiece Theater and they had all the good cooking programs - not reality TV ones but bare bones Jaques Pepin and the like which is my preference. Tons of stuff I'd rather watch than almost everything hulu offers *exceptions being the greatest tv show ever, Futurama, and the second best comedy What We Do In the Shadows... but I own most of both shows already on DVD

Jaques Pepin is the best

Literally!

It's awn like RoBoTronnnn!

Billy and Jesse sat in on Maggie's Farm with Margo Price in case you missed it too

Oh, I missed that ^. Too bad.

John cougar plays a blackguard tele "tribute" guitar built in the 1980's by a company called 48th Street Custom Guitars

while 48th st existed it was was a small partner company of ESP Guitars of Tokyo

so it's essentially a Japanese ESP sourced/equipped telecaster with schecter pickups

Zimmy time Watchtower opener

You definitely don't get live + free bob Dylan very often

Bob's sounding good this evening.

I swear he's even better now than when I saw him in the 80s

Sounded grate over here

bob britt played (I think) a 90's made in Japan Fender tele. Or could be a custom shop bit. It's got metal flake in the silver paint.

he played with Delbert for quite a few years and Leon Russell before that

Godfather of Grunge, wow

legendary

I couldn't love him more.  heart Oh, these old guys...

Johnny Rotten, Rotten Johnny

Beautiful, Judit.

Wow! What a shoe ...

Love You Willie!!!

Dylan magnificent... great mix on sound also for entire show

Nice set by Bob.

Watchtower hit nice groove. I had a hunch I Can Tell might make it into the setlist as it's been such a great peppy addition to his recent shows. Perfect for a festy crowd.

H61 also muy excelente.

Margo's set was superb. Maggies with Jesse/Billy was one of the highlights of the evening.

The closing section of I can Tell is just over the top excellent. Those "no more, no mores" mmmm and then that "yeah! I can tell" just pure bob at his absolute finest. . Put this set with the 3 Dirty Knobs songs from Farm Aid 23 and you've got a very nice cross section of Mod Bob festival edition

Was able to catch Dylan, Neil, and Willie's sets after closing the shop.  A nice way to end the day!  Bob's voice is much more listenable these days, and his band is very dialed in.  Neil's set was much more engaged than what I saw two weeks ago.  A lot has happened in those two weeks, and you could see it in his face.  Particle Kid/Micah Nelson sounded good on the slide guitar on Old Man.  Be The Rain was as epic as it gets.  Out Of The Blue And Into The Black was crunchy.  Hope Spooner Oldham is okay, as I couldn't hear much from him.  Willie continues to amaze in his 90's, picking fluid and nimble guitar lines,  remembering lyrics, and walking capably as he exited the stage.

Saved Billy's set for the morning w&b, as he came on during store hours.  They tore it up!  Farm Aid's future is in good hands.

Both Willie and Bob have been deleted from that link.

Caught Bob on link above posted by Fish but anybody got a link for Willies set?

I fell asleep after Dylan's set. I cant find Willie's set either.

Dylan's set is still up there:

The video cuts during the last part of Neil playing Southern Man though.
