What are 'dark' stars? Scientists think they could explain 3 big mysteries in the universe
"Dark stars are hypothetical objects that are proposed to have existed in the early universe. Rather than being powered by nuclear fusion, as normal stars are, dark stars are thought to have been powered by the annihilation of dark matter particles. "Dark" refers to that source of these stars' energy; they would have, in fact, been incredibly bright.
...If dark stars existed, they would have been capable of forming in the universe before ordinary stars could have formed. When ultradense cores of dark matter are exhausted, it is theorized that dark stars could collapse to form the massive "seeds" for supermassive black holes.
These seeds would be much more massive than the black holes formed when even the most massive stars run out of fuel for nuclear fusion. This, coupled with the fact that dark stars could have existed before normal stars, would allow supermassive black holes to form much faster than the standard chain of black hole mergers thought to create supermassive black holes."

The intent of this graph is
The intent of this graph is to show the basic structure and evolution of Dark Star over time – basically, when and where are the verses played, and how long are the jams before and after the verse?
All Dark Stars were timed from scratch. The verses are just listed as ‘verse 1’ and ‘verse 2.’ I didn’t specifically time them, but they ranged from 50-75 seconds long (depending on the speed of the performance) – the average verse length was a minute. Dark Star almost always had a little 30-second outro played in 1968-71, which is included in ‘verse 2.’
Not every Dark Star is on the main list. Some Dark Stars are structural outliers and I felt didn’t belong with the others: the Hartbeats jams of ’68, and the short instrumental teases over the years (especially in ’91). These range from the shortest Dark Star jams ever played (90 seconds), to the longest (a 47-minute Hartbeats behemoth). In any case, without the usual verse structure these would stick out on the graph, so I decided to list these separately at the end.

Enjoyed the article,Alan.
Enjoyed the article,Alan. Thanks.
Speaking of both the song from our favorite band and the phenomenon, I like to think that both are about Exploration.
Exploration is the single word i think about to explain the GD, especially during their birth.
